This year marks the 10th anniversary of Media Molecule, a huge milestone for our small Guildford-based studio. From LittleBigPlanet to Tearaway, and more recently with our upcoming creative adventure game Dreams, we’ve always made games centred around the idea of community and bringing people together through creative gameplay.
Over the years, we’ve seen our community grow and go from strength to strength. The amount of love, passion and support that we have seen over the years has been nothing short of amazing. It makes us so proud and humbled to see how LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway have helped people through difficult times, or encouraged folks to chase their dreams of working in the games industry. It’s been an incredible ride.
We couldn’t let 10 years go by without celebrating such a special year with our community who helped us to make this all possible! So get your party hats and balloons at the ready folks because we’re having an LBParty and you’re all invited!
On Thursday 3rd November at 5pm UK time, we’ll be broadcasting live from Media Molecule where we’ll be joined by Molecules past and present to help us celebrate this most momentous occasion :)
We’re going back to where it all started with our first game LittleBigPlanet, which we’ll be playing live on the stream! We’ll be joined by all five founders of Media Molecule – Mark Healey, Alex Evans, Siobhan Reddy, Kareem Ettouney and David Smith – along with the rest of the Molecules and some other familiar faces too to help us tell the story of how Mm began and share stories from the development days of LBP!
We’ve got plenty of surprises in store for the stream so be sure to tune in! You won’t wanna miss it! Follow along with us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram using our celebratory hashtag #LBParty to keep up with all the latest news and behind the scenes snaps!
