Battlefield 1 takes on FIFA 17 in October PlayStation Store chart

Plus, find out how the PlayStation VR launch line-up fared

October saw some massive new releases on PlayStation Store, with Battlefield 1 taking the top spot. EA’s WWI shooter saw off big debuts from FIFA 17, Mafia III and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, among others.

Elsewhere, Dark Souls III’s Ashes of Ariandel expansion took the DLC crown, Dragon Quest Builders debuted at #1 on PS Vita and Crash continued his domination of the PS one/PS2 Classic list. We’ve also listed a separate chart this month for PlayStation VR titles.

Some great games during october. It’s a shame Titanfall 2, didn’t appear within the top 20 PS4 games. Great game, well worth picking it up

Titanfall 2 released at the end of October, so it wouldn’t have been possible.

They are pretty low on the VR list but I can fully recommend Wayward Sky and Headmaster!

Headmaster is great fun. Quite challenging too.
