Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare are out today on PlayStation Now

Play Rockstar Games’ open-world wild west classic on PC for the first time

We’re beyond ecstatic to announce the launch of Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare on PlayStation Now on PS4 and PC. It’s a day of firsts, not only is this the first time we’ve added titles from the world-renowned Rockstar Games to our ever-expanding library, but it’s also the first time you can play either game on PC!

With the announcement of the hotly anticipated Red Dead Redemption 2 still tingling our spines – this is your opportunity to prepare in style by getting up to date with the ground-breaking franchise.

If you can’t tell by the below – we’re excited and you should be too.

Red Dead Redemption

With a Metacritic of 95 and listed in IGN’s coveted list of ‘Top 100 Games of All Time’, this undisputed blockbuster’s reputation goes well and truly before it. This open-world, Wild West epic tears down the fabric of gaming conventions and delivers a masterful storyline, as well as classic Rockstar side missions and free-roam modes to keep you rootin’, tootin’, shootin’ and lootin’ for hours on end.

You play as John Marston – a former outlaw, hunting down a gang of criminals who were once called friends, on a mission to put your past behind you and become a family man. Foraying along the Mexican border you’ll be immersed in cowboy culture from Old West saloons to cacti-ridden dunes, meeting unforgettable characters that’ll have you accidentally talking to your mates with that unmistakable southern drawl.

The narrative is so compelling that once you jump on your horse you’ll be riding it for days, but beware: there are major distractions as in any Rockstar game – anything from driving up your ‘Wanted’ profile by causing havoc in the old sandy towns, to catching the wanted men yourself (dead or alive) as a Bounty Hunter. Red Dead Redemption even lets you take the moral high ground (or low ground) as your decisions throughout the game determine the Honour you’re bestowed – so what are you going to be: good, bad or ugly?

This is an absolute must-play – the action is intense, the voice acting is superb and the plot is more compelling than most Oscar-winning movies.

John Marston, remember the nombre!

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare

“All the dead folk have come back to life mister, only they ain’t happy.”

I don’t think I’d be too happy if I was resurrected as a zombie in a horror-themed spin-off of a gaming masterpiece, only to be hunted down in a shower of fire and bullets by the unforgiving, blood-lusting John Marston.

This add-on which was later released as a standalone title in its own right, is a ferociously action-packed romp with a familiar air of carnage that we’re used to seeing in most Rockstar hits. Your job on this outing is to liberate undead-infested towns and bring ‘normality’ back to the American Frontier with the tools at your disposal, including Blunderbuss shotguns and vials of holy water. Ride the four horses of the apocalypse and find yourself a Sasquatch to really top your horrifying conquests off.

Happy hunting!
