Knee Deep: A theatrical swamp-noir adventure for PS4, out 31st January

Hello everyone, it’s Ben Tester here from Wales Interactive! On 31st January, we’re bringing you Knee Deep, a point-and-click adventure game for PS4 which literally takes place on the world’s largest theatre stage. Your choices will rotate the stage, fold-away the props and push the characters from one set to another as they collect clues, uncover evidence, and confront wrongdoers.

When a washed-up actor hangs himself on location, a spotlight is cast on the backwater Florida town of Cypress Knee. It’s up to you to investigate this mysterious suicide as three distinct characters: cheeky blogger Romana Teague, down-and-out local reporter Jack Bellet, and cynical private investigator K.C. Gaddis.

Fans of choice-driven narrative will spot dynamic conversations that evolve based on your choices, but beware as critical decisions could lead to a breakthrough…or someone getting hurt. We give you the ownership of these characters by building personalities based on your own dialogue choices. Knee Deep comes complete with an eccentric cast of over 30 fully voiced supporting characters.

As a blogger, reporter and private investigator, you must uncover evidence and report your findings to be published to the world. After collecting several key plot points, you choose the story you want to publish and you decide how to spin the report to start a chain of reactions. Send an inflammatory headline about the local authorities or play it cautious and anger your editor-in-chief, it’s your call.

Knee Deep is about interactive storytelling, unsettling characters and the surreal melodrama of swampland Florida.

In Act 1: Wonderland, you’ll explore the rundown roadside eyesore known as Chief Roadside’s Wonderland. In Act 2: Festival, the action moves downtown as political candidates make their final pitches for the upcoming election. And in Act 3: Boomtown, our heroes find themselves deep in the north Florida swamp as they uncover the secret ambitions of their foes.
