Patapon, Brawlhalla, Dino Frontier & all the new PS Store releases detailed

August is right around the corner and, whether you’re on holidays or not, PlayStation Store has plenty to keep you busy this week. Read on for more detail on all the new games and expansions launching this week.

Patapon Remastered

After PaRappa The Rapper and LocoRoco, it’s now Patapon’s turn to make its grand return to PS4. Lead the patapons to victory in this adorable musical and rhythmical platformer, with beautifully remastered visuals for PS4.

Brawlhalla is a high-energy 2D platform fighter that is 100% free to Play. Pick from the greatest warriors from every era and locale and brawl with your friends on a couch or online.

Dino Frontier VR

From the creators of Wayward Sky comes Dino Frontier, a colourful simulation in which you’re the mayor of a small settlement in a beautiful Wild West locale – though one which is inhabited by dinosaurs. You’ll need to manage your resources, tame the local wildlife, grow your town and look after your settlers!

Dreadnought open beta

Six Foot’s ambitious free-to-play class-based sci-fi action game goes into open beta this week, and it looks like a blast. Sit at the helm of a massive spaceship and conduct titanic tactical space battles. What’s not to like?

Kinda surprised to see Frisky Business on PSN.

Just curious, any word on when Wakanim App will be available for the Nordic Countries? They mentioned early August a while ago, but figure i’d try to ask in case someone here knew something new about it or if they even submitted it yet.

No article on the 25% price increase for PS+?

I’m guessing they’ll replace the PS3 games with PS4/Vita games.

Yeah, they’re doing it for OUR benefit!

The product links just go back to this article. Which does make having links a bit pointless!!

MiseryPrincess 31 July, 2017 @ 14:12

Oh also, you’ve put the Dino Frontier VR link and the Brawlhalla link back to front.

Yay, image for Vita game! Hope you will stay with adding them :)

Carnivius_Prime 31 July, 2017 @ 15:00

eh, not much for me this week. Perhaps I’ll use my money on topping up my PS Plus before that £10 increase eh? Or is that the plan all along? To get a sudden rush of folks stacking us PS Plus subs so you get a big increase of cash now rather than when each of our subscriptions renew? :O

when does the persona 5 christmas dlc release in europe? has been out in america for weeks

“Why you should play it: Nearly 10 years on from its PSP debut, there’s still nothing quite like it.”

Um yes there is. It’s called Patapon 2 and 3 lol

Yeah just download them on your PS4… Oh wait.

noodleboy1972 31 July, 2017 @ 17:16

Isn’t The Long Dark world release date the 1st?

noodleboy1972 31 July, 2017 @ 17:37

Ah just read it’s next week.

xStOnEhEaDx 31 July, 2017 @ 18:19

Well hopefully Frisky Business is actually gonna release this week..

Finka_Karfein 31 July, 2017 @ 18:37

I thought HBO Go would drop this week due to the delay. Pity it’s longer than expected.

Specky_Geek 31 July, 2017 @ 18:47

Not much this week but thank you for the heads up

Shadow Tactics actually looks really cool. If I didn’t have a back-catalogue of more than 20 games to play I would probably get it. Also I wish the Patapon remaster was on Vita so I could get the trophies on there instead. Still, good line up, well done girls and boys.

wheres the nex machina demo? you posted it in last weeks store update yet failed to upload it to the psn store?

Any chance of Patapon remastered coming to the Vita?

MiseryPrincess 02 August, 2017 @ 17:11

It seems kind of unlikely they’d rerelease a game when you can play natively already.

Hi! Does Patapon Remaster come with any kind of avatars or a dynamic theme? No information on the game’s page but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks!

MiseryPrincess 02 August, 2017 @ 17:05

No, it comes with no themes or avatars of any kind.

How can patapon not be on vita [DELETED]!

Hey, hey, HEY! Where is Undertale? Really. I am always checking PS’s site to see if that freaking game is already avaibable. But guess I’m doing it stupidly, I guess…

I was hyped for Patapon – but a combination of faster framerate, audio sync & input lag, seem to make it next to impossible to play compared to the PSP edition. This really should have been play tested across more devices and addressed prior to release.
