Out of curiosity does the Lost Legacy include those who got free with the Explorer’s pass?

And which chart should PS2 games on PS4 appear? I thought we might have seen Jak & Daxter though that too was free for a lot of us (unexpectedly so for those like me with the U4 Explorer pass rather than pre-ordering U:LL)

Nah, I’d guess it doesn’t include “free” games, otherwise the PS+ Monthly Games would always be at the top of the charts?

I think it does.

If you recall, we had to pre-order the game even with the triple or explorer packs

but is it a ‘best-selling game’ if it was free and thus given away rather than sold?

Because Hellblade is bloody amazing!

Congratulations to developers. I am playing Senua on PC and it’s amazing. Fair price, great experience&visuals. Keep at good work folks!

Congratulations to everyone at Ninja Theory! Hellblade is my favourite PS4 game so far this year – for me, it even beats out strong competition from Horizon Zero Dawn and Uncharted: TLL. It just resonated with me that much. It’s fully deserving of all the praise and great reception its been getting. Hopefully the strong sales performance will encourage a physical release at some point.

Surprised Sonic Mania only managed to reach no. 8 overall (still nowhere near Crash!), but I guess that’s in part due to releasing in the middle of the month.

Great month for games!

Looking at the chart there’s nothing I’ve bought… and barely anything I even want… (maybe Crash when it’s cheaper) Though summer is a low point for games in general, so that’s not surprising!

Nice to see Hellblade doing well. I remember when the PS4 first launched, and all I heard was “Single-player games are dead” and “no one cares about single-player any more”. It’s good to see a single-player only game proving that wrong, not just one but several others in the August chart as well. I’d just give up on gaming if the future for all games was a multiplayer/co-op only future where single-player has been phased out.

Best game this year gripping and stunning could not put it down

I really wanted to like Hellblade as I liked Heavenly Sword a lot but after playing it for a bit it just doesn’t do it for me. And as someone with actual psychological issues I play games to escape my problems and to me it just feels certain games like this one are starting to exploit such issues. It really put me off. Nice that some folks are enjoying it but it’s not for me.

It probably doesn’t help that Sony has released too many ‘exclusive’ hack n slash games in a row, and they’ve released when everyone else is releasing their latest hack n slash games at the same time.

I have to admit I bought Hellblade on the PC but I’ve yet to play it. Honestly I only play about 3% of what I actually buy. I do like how they worked with people on mental health and psychosis directly but haven’t seen the result yet.

I actually love hack n slash games but this one just didn’t do it for me.

YESSS, take that Cliff Bleszinski. AAA game development is dead? Nope, its YOUR game that has dropped off the charts completely in less than 3 weeks while a single player, self financed AAA story based game is what got through to people. Maybe in another 6 years when you make another online only game people will forget about that a week later too (seriously I haven’t a clue what the latest one is even called without having to look it up).

Well done to Ninja Theory. Since Hellblade is on Unreal engine 4, hopefully they will get around to bringing it to Switch and Xbone eventually too, when they have the time of course.
