5 big new PlayStation Store releases you need to check out this week

Call Of Duty WWII, PixelJunk Dead Hungry, Stifled, and more…

This week marks the return of Activision’s behemoth FPS franchise with Call of Duty WWII. Relive history through the eyes of a US soldier in Campaign mode, or play heated matches online with your friends.

PlayStation VR also gets two unique genre blends just in time for Halloween! Try out Stifled, a unique sound-based thriller, or PixelJunk VR Dead Hungry, a zombie-filled cooking game!

1. Call of Duty WWII

It’s finally here – the latest instalment of the blockbuster FPS franchise takes you into the heart of World War II. Follow the story of Private Ronald “Red” Daniels from the US First Infantry Division as events unfold across Europe. Land on the beaches of Normandy on D-Day and fight your way through iconic battles to defeat the enemy.

2. Stifled

Go blind in Stifled’s sound-based world with PlayStation VR. Enable your mic and discover your environment thanks to echolocation, a sonar-like system that allows you to ‘see’ the world around you for a limited time. But be very careful though – any noise you make might also attract lurking creatures…

3. PixelJunk VR Dead Hungry

What would halt hordes of famished zombies going for your brains? Delicious fast food of course! Cook burgers, fries and other unhealthy grub to satiate the appetite of hundreds of zombies that would otherwise be making lunch of your innards.

  • Why you should play it: The great minds of Q-Games are back with this VR spin-off that is deliciously fast paced, hectic, and full of humour!
  • Releases: 31st October
  • 4. Spintires: MudRunner

Get ready for the ultimate off road experience with Spintires: MudRunner. Take on a variety of challenges aboard 4x4s, trucks and an array of logistic vehicles. Will you be able to withstand the most extreme conditions?

5. Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut

It’s puzzler meets slasher movie with a twist: you play the bad guy! Take control of a psychotic killer and find ways to commit crimes in Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut. Solve a host of isometric puzzles as you play the adorable murderer Skullface, in this comedic horror movie tribute.

It’s always weird how CoD has this terrible reputation and then sells the most over and over and over.

1.2

That doesn’t say anything about the quality. Justin Bieber was number one for years.

Well it sells good to certain age players which always claiming that they slept with other players mothers

Slayaway Camp looks great, pity it’s not on Vita though. Might have to wait for a discount

Wakanim for France only. Really? Where’s the Nordic one? Surely that should be out as well.

Rock Band DLC?

Rocksmith DLC?

There is new content for both games released each week but always omitted from these posts.

And, on the subject of Rock Band DLC… 2 years since the game’s release we STILL don’t have our promised songs that we owned on the PS3. Whereas SIEA and XBOX users have almost all of their content available that they had on the previous generation console. Not good enough SIEE!

Then, there’s Gran Turismo Sport and all of the problems with the pre-order bonuses and digital items that were meant to be included with the Day One/Steelbook/Collector’s Editions… many of us are missing the Chrome Racing Helmet (common issue), we’re not getting the in-game credit or Dynamic Themes with the Europe & Japan Packs, some users are missing cars, or have duplicates of cars.

PlayStation Support acknowledged the problem at first, now they’re pretending there isn’t one. Not happy!

They stopped posting about Rocksmith DLC a long time ago. They just don’t care.

My money is safe..

Also, acccording to a rumored leak, PS+ games for november are Bound and Worms: Battlegrounds. Can we get some official comment please?

Hopefully not. A junky mini game and a 2 hour dance something aren’t really at the same level as the recent stuff..

I’d be happy with both!

If that’s true than it would be the biggest dissapointment I had since learning Santa Claus was fake.

What about the PS4 version of Summon Night 6?

Wondering about the ps4 version as well my self and why the vita version is not available in my country Norway cause that makes me nervous its going to be the same for the ps4 version and i was really looking forward to this since i love these kind of games

6.2

I read in the dev’s site that the PS4 version in Europe is delayed, but it shouldn’t take too long I think. It’s strange it didn’t come out in Norway on the Vita but those things happen sometimes, it’ll probably come out later.

Ok good to hear that and yeah hopefully we get the ps4 version over as well as the vita version

not even close.

Nothing for me this week so that leaves me free to pre-order Shadow Of The Colossus.

I really wish A Hat in Time would hurry the hell up. I’m getting close to wanting a switch just to play Mario and that’s an unjustifiable expense this close to Christmas.

.hack for me. 3 remastered games for the price of one is pretty nice.

11.1

There is an extra game in it too. 😁😁
