4 fresh PS VR titles to check out in this week’s batch of new releases on PlayStation Store

Shooty Fruity VR, Manifest 99, Accounting+ and more...

PlayStation VR gets a wealth of new releases in this week’s PlayStation Store update. Put your PS VR headset on and journey into the haunting narrative-driven story of Manifest 99, dive into the bizarre world of Accounting+, shoot hordes of mutant fruit in Shooty Fruity VR and cook bonkers burgers in VR The Diner Duo.

1. Shooty Fruity VR

The time is ripe! Shoot and defend your store from an onslaught of mutant fruits all whilst maintaining your day job as a supermarket clerk. Shooty Fruity combines your VR shooting skills with an immersively weird job simulator. Scan! Shoot! Repeat!

2. Manifest 99 VR

Embark on a mysterious crow-filled train to the afterlife. Manifest 99 is an eerie, ominous and emotional story that unfolds around you as you watch. You don’t need a controller; move around by gazing into the eyes of crows to warp up to their perch. Investigate your fellow passengers to uncover the reason why they – and you – are on this train traveling into the great beyond.

3. Accounting+ VR

From one layer of virtual reality to the next – yes, just like in Inception – Accounting+ will immerse you in the crazy worlds and the twisted humour of Justin Roiland, the co-creator of Rick and Morty and William Pugh, the designer of The Stanley Parable. Actual accountancy skills may or may not be required.

  • Why you should play it: Be the first to make it to Accounting+’s three hidden secret levels.
  • Available: 19th December

4. VR The Diner Duo

Things will get hectic in the kitchen with VR The Diner Duo! As a chef, you’ll have to satisfy your customers’ cravings for increasingly elaborate burgers. Keep up the pace and master all the different recipes. Are you ready to serve?

  • Why you should play it: Play with a friend thanks to the asymmetrical multiplayer mode: one of you will play the chef and the other the waiter!
  • Available: 18th December

Good job spotlighting a game that isn’t available in a whole bunch of countries, guys. Hoping for a decent sale this week cause there’s not really anything good in the new releases

Carnivius_Prime 18 December, 2017 @ 15:59

Still waiting for Super Hydorah to have it’s Crossbuy fixed that the developers Abylight Studios said it should be and that the seperate purchases is an error.

Carnivius_Prime 19 December, 2017 @ 17:55

Abylight say it’s been fixed on the US store (and folk who had bought one version retroactively get the other one too) and are working to makre sure it’s fixed on the Eu store too. :)

Anybody else noticed that ‘The Diner Duo PSVR’ which released today, costs double the price in EU compared to the USA?

USA $14,99 (€12,73) EU € 24,99 ($29,44)

Was really looking forward to this game, but will not buy it because of the 100% price increase in EU. Same thing happend to ‘The Invisible Hours PSVR’. Wondering what the other prices in EU will be compared to the USA, for the VR titles which release this week.

Price has just been corrected. It’s now showing up for € 14,99 instead of € 24,99. Thanks for the quick response :)

Yuuup, really disappointing! :(

What a week.

VR titles, why you shouldn’t play them: because they’re awful as vr.

It’s always so easy to spot the idiot that’s never played around in vr yet running his mouth off about it. VR is fantastic.

MiseryPrincess 18 December, 2017 @ 23:02

The problem with VR is still the same. The games are almost all short, overpriced tech demos.

agree, there’s a lot of bs on the store that’s nothing more than filler titles for sony to make it seem like there’s an abundance of vr games available.

but i think skyrim vr has ushered in a new era and there are other games like statik, rez infinite or superhot that were more than just a cheap “look it’s vr” cash grab.

Why Asians creed origins on here the game was out ages ago. Anyway last update of this year merry Xmas everybody and happy new year Can’t wait what playstation has in store next year

The post is highlighting new countries where it wasn’t previously available

It would be nice to know, if this Steven Universe version is still the buggy mess that came out a few weeks ago, or if its a fixed version?

******** EDIT *********

Found an answer:

This is the last update week for this year, so, where is the promised single player campaign mode for GT Sport?

Yes, the article says very clearly: “GT League (coming December 2017) Launching as part of our free December update, we’ll be introducing a brand new single player mode called the “GT League”.”

nukualofaperson 18 December, 2017 @ 18:00

Feral Fury looks like The Binding of Isaac. Hopefully it’ll be as good as it.

Gonna wait to see what the upcoming Holiday sale has to offer, if there’s nothing good i’ll have to pick up Manifest 99.

Why isnt steven universe coming to australia? Been looking forward to it for ages!!!!!

Nothing really interesting this week, but that’s only to be expected for December. The big shame is that there’s been not a mention of #PSVita6周年, Vita’s 6 year anniversary this week, no surprise there but it would be nice to see the system get a little respect.

Hoping for a good end of year sale, as the 12 Deals of Christmas has been nothing but microtransaction filled AAA garbage from the usual suspects, the only interesting thing being South Park. Been a while since we’ve had a really good PS3/Vita/Retro game sale to enjoy.

Does the Dragon’s Lair Trilogy require a Move controller? It’s not mentioned on the game page, but better safe…

Does Knowledge is Power has Turkish language support? Thx for reply.

Does anyone know when the first update of 2018 for the EU store is?

Can’t find ultrawings on the Portuguese store… why? Shouldn’t it be available there?

Awesome additions. :)

Is there any chance we will see Ape Escape 3 head to PS4 soon?

We close the comments for posts after 30 days.
