5 big new PlayStation Store releases you need to check out this week

Including The Inpatient, Monster Hunter: World, Dragon Ball FighterZ and more...

New this week on PlayStation Store, The Inpatient promises a terrifying PS VR experience set in a mysterious sanatorium from Until Dawn creator Supermassive Games, while Lost Sphear is a JRPG that’s heavy on nostalgia.

Elsewhere, hunt massive beasts in the vibrant open world of Monster Hunter: World and recreate your favourite fights from an iconic anime series with Dragon Ball FighterZ. And if neither are to your taste, how about some fiendish puzzle-solving with stylish and colourful platformer Iconoclasts?

1. The Inpatient

Will you survive Supermassive’s latest psychological horror game? Set 60 years before the events of Until Dawn, The Inpatient puts you in the shoes of a convalescent who awakens in the scary Blackwood Pines Sanatorium with no recollection of how they got there. Find out why you’re trapped in this horrifying branching narrative experience.

2. Monster Hunter: World

Monster Hunter: World invites you to experience the thrill of the hunt as you fight against massive beasts and explore a lush new world. Create your character and gather your arsenal, it’s hunting season!

3. Dragon Ball FighterZ

Unleash your inner Saiyan with the latest instalment in the epic fighting series. Play as some of the most iconic warriors from the Dragon Ball Z universe and unleash devastating aerial combos on your opponents. Pick up to three fighters from the 25-character-strong roster and prove your worth in fast-paced matches.

4. Lost Sphear

As a mysterious phenomenon known as Lost is slowly eating away at the fabric of reality, a young boy named Kanata awakens with the power of Memory. Take on Kanata’s mission to save the world in this nostalgic turn-based JRPG and travel the world with your party to restore it to its former glory.

5. Iconoclasts

Iconoclasts is a puzzling action-platformer! Step into the shoes of friendly mechanic Robin as she tries to escape the soldiers of One Concern, a malevolent religious authority. With its colourful cast and fiendish puzzles, Iconoclasts aims to tell a personal story about faith, purpose and the challenge of helping people.

I got four words to say about it as well. MEH!

YES episode 4 of batman the enemy within :))))

3

Shock troopers Wow can we now the second Squad (Shock troopers 2) make that leap to the PS4

Would be nice too though not as good as the first game in my opinion but yes still many Neo Geo games that I’d love to have on PS4.

3.2

Baseball all stars 2 Snk vs Capcom chaos Metal slug 4 & 5 where all on Neo Geo would love to see them port as part of the archives series would take me back to the days of the PS2

3.3

All the Metal Slugs already available on Metal Slug Anthology though (Metal Slug 3 has now been on PS4 THREE times) but I guess to have them all the same here would be nice for fans of the series. SNK vs Capcom is a bit ugly I always felt. Blazing Star, Waku Waku 7 and Sengoku 3 are my most wants for Neo Geo.

CELESTE!

SHOCK TROOOPEEEEERRRS!! (finally)

Big week for me and my pixelly playing tastes. :)

4.1

Iconolasts has my money too. I was very impressed by the trailer.

4.2

And it’s also out on Vita too so yay! I think/hope it’s crossbuy :D

The Inpatient looks so interesting… but it’s VR only, isn’t it? Ugh.

Monster Hunter World is a no-brainer, so the PS4 PRO edition has been pre-ordered ^^

That was my q too, such a shame

There is no mention of Stardrone VR which releases on the 24th. It was incorrectly posted in last week store update.

6.1

I believe their is a bug stardrone vr,that stopped you playing some levels of the game,so i don’t think it will be available until it’s sorted out.

7

Is iconoclasts cross buy?

Carnivius_Prime 22 January, 2018 @ 22:01

Supposed to be though we’ll see. Super Hydorah was meant to be Crossbuy but it appeared on store as two seperate purchases and was fixed after a week or so (with people who already bought it on one console correctly getting it for the other one when it was fixed). But yes it should be.

It’s on the store now and it’s £15.99 CROSSBUY! :)

Hmm, cross save too? If anyone knows?

Iconoclasts for sure!

Hi,

The store has been updated, but Hex Card Clash is nowhere to be found?

Please explain.
