PS VR zombie shooter Arizona Sunshine gets a Blu-ray release on 21st March

Alongside campaigns and Horde mode, physical edition of game includes recent ‘Free DLZ’ update

Hi all, Richard from Vertigo Games here. After months of daily community requests, we are thrilled to finally be able to announce that we are partnering with Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe to bring Arizona Sunshine to European retail stores this March!

You read that right; your favourite VR zombie shooter is finally getting a physical edition in Europe which means we will be welcoming many more players to the VR zombie apocalypse soon.

For those of you who are new to Arizona Sunshine, let me take a step back and tell you a little bit about the game.

Arizona Sunshine is a VR shooter that quite literally puts you in the middle of the zombie apocalypse with optional support for the awesome PS VR Aim controller.

In campaign mode, you embark on a quest to find other survivors across a zombie-overrun American South-West while battling hordes of zombies with the scarce gear, ammo, and consumables you loot from your undead enemies or otherwise find in your post-apocalyptic surroundings.

You can play solo or with up to two players in co-op, and there are many difficulty degrees to choose from. A word of advice: only the most veteran of survivors should try to take on apocalyptic mode…

Next to the campaign mode, you can join forces with up to three other survivors in Horde mode – an infinite game mode that pits your team of survivors against endless waves of zombies.

The physical version will also include the recently released ‘Free DLZ’, adding two big, dynamic maps to Horde mode: the pitch-black Old Mine and the warehouse-turned-underground casino, Undead Valley!

I already mentioned support for the PS VR Aim controller, but we didn’t just add ‘simple’ support.

As the game was initially developed with dual-wielding guns in mind, we created an entire, additional campaign mode for the PS VR aim controller in which you need to survive with 13+ newly added two-handed weapons at your disposal.

VR is all about intuitiveness and this is different for every player, so in Arizona Sunshine you can play around and go with your controller of choice – the Dualshock 4 controller, two PS Moves or the PS VR Aim controller – and a variety of other settings to make sure your experience fits your VR play style.

Think of things such as teleportation or locomotion movement, smooth or segmented rotation, controller-gun offsets, and a left-handed setting for lefties.

Lastly, Arizona Sunshine supports a whole range of in-game voice-over and subtitle languages, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Russian.

So keep an eye out for Arizona Sunshine in European retail stores on 21st March of this year.
