5 big new PlayStation Store releases you need to check out this week

Including Moss, Detention, Gravel and RiftStar Raiders

This week, PlayStation Store welcomes an unlikely hero. Become a part of Quill’s adventure in Moss, where a brave little mouse sets off on a mission to save her uncle. Assuming control of a helpful spirit, you can see Quill’s world in ways her size doesn’t permit, allowing you to guide her through the perilous quest.

Elsewhere, Detention is a dystopian side-scrolling horror inspired by the martial law of 1960s Taiwan, while Gravel is the ultimate off-road fest for motorsport fans, RiftStar Raiders invokes the golden age of Japanese arcade games in a fast paced co-op shoot ’em up, and De Blob 2 is ready to splash some colour on your TV screen in a shiny new remaster.

1. Moss VR

Quill is an adorable young mouse, small in size but big of heart. One day as she explores the woods, she stumbles upon a mysterious stone and inadvertently awakens an ancient magic — and with it, a distant evil. This is the start of her epic journey, but she won’t be alone. Accompany Quill on her quest and explore forgotten realms, solve challenging puzzles and battle menacing enemies.

2. Detention

Detention is a unique, atmospheric horror game set in 1960s Taiwan suffering under the shadow of dictatorship. You control a pair of teenage characters, Wei and Ray, in an ominous point and click side-scroller through a haunted school…

3. Gravel

With its accessible, fun driving mechanics, this quintessential arcade racer has you strapped into a faux TV programme aspiring to the best extreme-sports channel in the world. Race in action-packed single player and online arcade game modes and prove your strength against your competition. Buckle up, it’s showtime!

4. RiftStar Raiders

RiftStar Raiders is a 2.5D top-down, fast-paced blaster made by a passionate team at Climax Studios. Dive into an intense, trigger-happy experience that blends elements of modern multiplayer games and retro shoot ’em ups reminiscent of the Japanese arcade’s golden era.

5. De Blob 2

Paint the black and white world of Prisma City back to life in the sequel to the award-winning platform adventure, remastered and more colourful than ever. It’s up to Blob and his friends from the Color Underground to restore the city back to its former glory.

  • Why you should play it: With two-player split-screen co-op and multiplayer fun, splashing sad buildings with vibrant paint is the perfect mood boost for the Monday blues.

And of course the GT Sport update (1.13) will be out soon, with 12 new cars!

Can’t wait to play Moss VR,it looks like this game might well be the best looking psvr game yet.

Still No pre-order for Devil may Cry collection on Eu only on US?

Only morons preorder digital games.

If you are 100% sure that you want to buy a game (e.g. next title in Yakuza series) and there are even some bonuses and a small discount – why wait until day 1?

In the UK, the Digital pre-order price is 100% of the time, more expensive than the Amazon pre-order price. And people like to trade in games over here quite alot which you can’t do with a digital version.

VR games need more attention brought to them. They’re releasing all the time under the radar and you’re doing nothing about it.

You are part of the problem, you are part of why the Vita died out. Lack of exposure. Fix it.

Pretty sure Moss has been featured on here significantly

Every time there’s “5 featured games” it’s always stuffed with VR releases.

The reason VR isn’t selling isn’t because of lack of exposure, it’s because it’s too expensive (50 more than a PS4 right now) and has expensive short games.

Moss is just one game, yet there’s always more than one VR release a week, yet most are never showcased.

Another poor selection of games released this week have Sony abandoned Aca Neo GEO & Arcade Archives Blazing Star & 5 other titles have been released on the Jap Psn they where listed on PEGI then removed just please tell yes or no so i can import them

The trophy list for Shock Troopers 2 was added to yesterday, so that’s probably coming next week (as it doesn’t appear in this week’s list). But yeah, I’d love to see more arcade titles too. Has Cyber Lip been released in Japan? I’d love to play that one again.

Yes i want that title Don,t understand why Switch Xbox-one & the Jap psn got them all one after another and Sony Europe total snub them for less known titles

Shock Troopers was released on 25th Jan over here.

(Edit) Just noticed the 2 so ooops my bad.

Why would you need to pre-order digital? Are they likely to run out of 1s and 0s?

Edit: *hmph* that was supposed to be a response to XODUSSUDOX

Lol. No, i want the theams and avatars and other pre order bonuses.

Maybe it is digital “limited collectors gold edition”? :-D

Heroine Anthem is split into episodes?…

They say its the first in a series on steam but there’s only the one game out since december 2016,, reviews arent that good though. Suggest u read a bit there .

I was really looking forward to the Yakuza 6 demo, I just found out it’s 37gb. Ain’t nobody got space for that!

4TB baby.

not suprised its 37gb you can unlock the full game throug the demo i would hurry though if i was you Sony have plugged it from ps Store because of it

Moss is great but only lasts around one hour and a half…could’ve been at least a little bit longer.

All looks good. Keep up the vr material. Any word on the Wipeout vr update?

None yet, but it’s coming. We’ll update the blog when there’s more to tell.

Little Red Wagon Bro! /o/ *fistbump*
