So the Playstation blog Europe wasn’t able to source images to display with the PEGI rating or at least without one? I know it’s a small issue but this is the official voice of Playstation in Europe.

I guess they couldn’t wait to spread the news.

2

Ultimate Edition is just a pay-to-win bundle for online with a few “extras” included…. Rockstar is disgusting!

3

oh wow cowboy hats and pretty horses dlc bundle with virtual cash bags and all that jazz.

rockstar and gta was once a synonym for great games. now it’s all about microtransactions and marketing schemes that target kids and people with no self control or sense of value.

shame on you rockstar

It’s kind of worrying that all of this sounds like “buy this to reduce the grind to acceptable levels”.

Not buying stuff digitally when I can get it cheaper physically… standard edition £59.99 on the PSN Store and £49.99 on Amazon.

4.1

Sony seem to have a disconnect between digital prices and retail prices, in the completely wrong direction. Digital, should by all rights, be cheaper… How does Sony think they can justify charging more? Greed is ruining gaming. Rockstar have lost their damn mind, Sony has lost theirs… It’s a sad state of affairs!

4.2

Sony still need to keep the stores and online retailers happy as they sell all of their hardware through them.

4.3

@Ben-Rogue: It’s not just that… but when the prices in the US store are consistently cheaper than the EU store it reinforces the theory that Sony just don’t give two figs about the EU market.

Pre-ordered the Horizon: Zero Dawn on the US Store and get 25% off… EU Store just 10% off

Add in that EU sales prices just about reduce the price of games to the standard, non sale, US store price and it starts getting silly.

Hey Playstation Can you just give us Red Dead Redemption 2: Collector’s Box link to buy aside from rockstar warehouse ? Which retailers will be available at the moment ? and when will you announce those ‘selected’ retailers ? We deserve some explanation, you know…

You do know there is no game in the collectors box

While I’m somewhat excited for the included content in the special edition and collector’s box, overall I’m quite disappointed. It seems the special edition is nothing more than some tiny dlc pieces that’ll give you tiny stat boosts. I thought the game went beyond that actually. I don’t see the appeal in being all excited about a new skin for stats or some talisman on my boots. They’ll be outdated soon when better gear gets unlocked, probably. And a cash bonus? That’s like paying for less than 0. It’s wrong to give these things the importance they get when revealing pre orders and such.

The ultimate edition is for those who play more online than me and seems to have practically nothing of value. Early access and faster ranking means nothing to me and should mean nothing to many more.

The Collector’s Box looks to have some neat stuff, but the game isn’t included, which is obnoxious.

And the treasure map you get with hidden secrets should be available for all, whether you go digital or not, or now or after the release. If ther’s exclusive content on it, all should be able to play it.

I’ll probably cancel my pre order and get the game at a later date.

7.1

Spiderman is 7th September and RDR 2 is the 23rd October.

Strange i thought RDR 2 was also September, but that doesn’t change anything i am playing Spiderman this fall anything else will have to wait

8

na I buy game on disc and glad not getting delayed again. Don’t really care about pre order bonus’ so get RDR2 on disc. Aslo save me time downloading full game😀.

9

No game in the collector’s box and the other editions only feature useless digital items, come on now Rockstar. The playing cards are cool though.

I was looking forward to this, but all this crap and nonsense made me want to look elsewhere. I just want the game. I feel old.

11

Usually useless junk as preorder bonus. I was hyped for this but it looks like miliking cow for Rockstar. Will grab it after some price cut.

Why so many editions?

I miss the days were you bought a game and that would be the whole thing. I don’t mind expansions or DLC’s down the road, but if you already got stuff that you take out from some versions just to make a more expensive one then it’s messed up. It has been like this for too long. Also it’s like for online “You too lazy, get this” or “You want a head start pay a bit extra and you can own the other people” “Get the full game? You just need to fork out more money”

At this rate a company will try sell a shell of a game and you have to pay for each individual part of it.

Anyhow, hopefully RDR2 will be a good game. Will probably get a physical version.

Rockstar won’t ever be the same after GTA Online. Now all they see is cash.

mistervista 05 June, 2018 @ 19:56

No game included with the collectors box is just a rip-off. Also if they are doing all these so-called special editions with lots of extras then the standard edition that doesn’t have all the extras should be a lot cheaper. £50 for the standard game is another rip-off.

crap

Thanks for adding value to the conversation.

I actually typed out a lot more but the items in question didn’t seem worth the trouble.

Its laughable how many editions you can get. Yeah no thanks, I am even debating buying the standard edition after reading this. Great job guys….
