This week’s PlayStation Store highlights: Madden NFL 19, We Happy Few, Dead Cells, Overcooked! 2

Plus the full release schedule for the week ahead

This week’s packed release schedule is at odds with PlayStation Store’s usually quieter summer season. Not that we’re complaining, mind. First up, our highlights from the week ahead. After which, as usual, it’s the full range of releases you can look forward to on PlayStation Store over the next seven days.

Let’s get to it, shall we?

1. Madden NFL 19: Hall of Fame Edition

As ever, EA Sports continues to refine its digital adaptation of the American sport. This year’s addition to the NFL series includes ameplay improvements both on and off field. If you can’t wait to play, check the Hall of Fame Edition, releasing today on PlayStation Store. It’ll give you three days early access to the game and comes packed with a whole host of extra content.

2. We Happy Few

A heavy dispensation of (manufactured and volatile) joy finally drops onto PS4. In this first-person adventure, explore the deeply unsettling streets of Wellington Wells and survive the attentions of its drugged populace. With a procedurally-generated layout, each playthrough promises a unique experience.

2. Overcooked! 2

Prep for a second course of the delightfully chaotic cooking multiplayer game. This time extra seasoning comes in the form of online kitchens, letting chefs come together from across the globe. In addition, cookery gets an extra helping of difficulty as new challenges will test you as you chop across a variety of fantastical sculleries.

4. Dead Cells

The brutal yet beautiful action platformer finally makes its mark on PlayStation 4. Guide your whip-fast explorer into the depths of a monster-filled hellscape to do battle. And, this being a rogue-lite, expect death at every turn. But gradually sharpening your skills and unlocking abilities will give you the edge needed to last that little bit longer come each run.

5. Valkyria Chronicles 4 demo

Get a feel for the WWII-inspired world of RPG Valkyria Chronicles 4 ahead of release. While the full game doesn’t drop until 25th September, you can get a taste of its gorgeous watercolour looks and and deep, tactical gameplay this week with the demo.

6. Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 demo

The demo goodness continues this week with Pro Evolution Soccer 2019, as a trial version of Konami’s football game drops on Wednesday. Choose from 12 clubs and go online for a Quick Match or an offline Exhibition match.

Whoa… We Happy Few is actually released?

Looking forward to Overcooked 2 but I’ll be picking that up on the Switch. Also I’m hoping to try out the Override beta.

Madden being first like it’s super-important to europe. :P

Hm, Dead Cells looks fun though would prefer it on portable. Didn’t Sony used to support a portable device of sorts?

If EA pays enough for promo then its super-important

I think so too, wasn’t it called the Playstation Quitter, or something like that?

what happened with sayonara umihara kawase++ from last week? it was listed for vita and just… didn’t appear.

Why you don’t do Vita part? There are two games this week! Cross-buy info is just a lazy excuse. Do your job on reporting new releases properly!

I am really excited for We happy few finally coming to PS4 that game looks creepy and fun and i love that…

    8 to glory?

Dead Cells is so good, even though I own it on Steam I rebought it on PS4. It’s got some kind of dopamine drip built into the software.

Valkyria Chronicles 4 demo! So hyped! ☆*:.。.o(≧▽≦)o.。.:*☆

Silly thing to even ask since nobody answers but:

What happend to Chasm that was supposed to release last week? Afaik nobody in EU has it, or if they do, it seem to be limited to VERY few countries but none of the blog posts mentioning it has countries listed.

It’s at least is available in France as I bought it

    deathnote2000 07 August, 2018 @ 11:28

    It’s out in the UK.

Well, as I said, then it seem to be out in very few countries, which was never mentioned. Not out here (Denmark), and I know many other countries as well for some odd reason. But good to see at least someone has it now.

It’s most likely a matter of an internal process between Sony and the Developer, regarding the danish storefront translations. These new translated texts need to be approved by Sony and this process can take a while.

Finally I can get back to cities skylines. Would have got dead cells but begrudge buying it knowing missed out on 20% off.

@Rawanz They didn’t made sure to have all translations ready… Poland is affected by it too. They woriking on fixing it but it will take some time for the game to be avaliable in PSS. Lately, when I was making PL description for Bunny Must Die it took 2-3 weeks before game become available (it showed yesterday).

Yeah, basically what @Barrow30 said, just noticed it.

    MiseryPrincess 08 August, 2018 @ 18:19

I like how the best thing on the list is a demo.

    Carnivius_Prime 09 August, 2018 @ 11:23

Dead Cells is a demo? :O

1 2 2 4 5 6. good counting there. Also all the dlc is listed under Vita
