Eh, nothing standing out for me this week but that’s ok cos I’m still loving Spider-Man to pieces and got a few indie games I had been after in the sale last week. :)

Also yay for the return of the Store highlight blog post on the Monday evening. :)

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, Does whatever a spider can Spins a web, any size, Catches thieves just like flies Look Out! Here comes the Spider-Man.

Totally agree, no need for a new game this week for me – Spider-Man all the way.

Just got the platinum. Absolutely gutted its over until the DLC. Impressive game, last of us, God of War and this definitely a stand out this generation.

That’s the problem with fun games. You finish them so quickly cos they’re just so addictive. This Spider-Man game has easily become my fave version of Spider-Man in anything really. They nailed what I love about the character and ignored the stuffs I haven’t liked over the years. Love the characterisations in this game and they add to what is a hugely enjoyable gaming experience with tons of polish and superb gameplay, graphics and sound. Definitely one of my fave games already. Both this and God of War have made me very happy this year. :D

When can we see BigFest come out?

Bigfest has been and gone I’m afraid. Release December 2015, removed from the store a couple of weeks ago, probably due to music licensing issues

Vaguely remember getting the platinum in this. You are not missing out on anything.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider for me! But before that, I’m planning to max out (100%) Spider-man and play a few rounds of Blackout.

I miss the neogeo releases.

This is a pretty bad week. One game with repetitive combat, ridiculously easy puzzles and no exploration, or a sports game. The rest of the unhighlighted don’t seem that great either.

and after TGS today it’s safe to say PS4 is done. no more good games until The Last of Us 2. I’m getting a switch for indies, Bayonetta and Travis Strikes Again. maybe a PS4 game down the line, but it seems like every game is either a shiny collectathon, a base for MTX and DLC sales or both.

There some stuff coming in October (and later this month, VC4 though that’s been out for a long time in Japan). Slightly annoyingly 3 games are coming out on the same day. The switch has about zero games i’m interested in. It’s all first party games that overpraised for doing basically anything. But are really a bit bland, one dimensional and repetitive.

Reeeally couldn’t care less for The Last of Us 2. Not a fan of the desaturated, grey, self indulgent mopey mope mope exclusives with stale gameplay and way too much sad blahblah and slow walking. They are all lacking in fun, which is kind of way more important than feeling sad. Strangely Spiderman is the first exclusive to use colors other than grey, though I can’t stand Spiderman so still uninterested!

The games industry in general has become a bit too safe, with not many games doing something that wont be profitable. Even the ‘indies” just seem to copy each other or older games. Still it would be nice if someone released a sing...

The games industry in general has become a bit too safe, with not many games doing something that wont be profitable. Even the ‘indies” just seem to copy each other or older games. Still it would be nice if someone released a single player focused fighting game. Oh and Nioh 2. Also SC VI somehow might not be terrible even though it’s made by the same company as that overpriced trash game Tekken 7.

Plenty of grey buildings in Spiderman lol. Not sure what you are on, The Last of Us has plenty of actual colour throughout. You are clearly mixing up what tone/level of emotion and colour is lol.
