FIFA 19 demo launches on PS4 this week

See the latest gameplay innovations and preview Alex Hunter’s final chapter in The Journey from 13th September

Download the FIFA 19 demo for PS4 on 13th September and be the first to experience the refreshed Kick-Off mode, the final chapter of The Journey, improved gameplay, and more. The UEFA Champions League, the most prestigious club competition in the world, is also fully integrated into FIFA 19 – and you’ll be able to see how in the demo.

Pick from a selection of 10 of the biggest clubs in the world and lead the team into an authentic Champions League match, reveling in the updated visuals, broadcast package, and commentary.

Here are the available clubs:

  • Manchester City
  • Manchester United
  • PSG
  • Bayern Munich
  • Borussia Dortmund
  • Spurs
  • Juventus
  • Real Madrid
  • Atletico Madrid
  • Roma

I’m playing as Real Madrid, but you could go another route. No matter who you pick, not only can you sample all realistic visuals for FIFA 19, you can also try your hand at the latest gameplay innovations: Timed Finishing, Active Touch, Dynamic Tactics, and 50/50 Battles.

Whether you want to get an extra advantage when taking a shot on goal or you’re looking for ways to prepare your team for a match, these added features let you control the pitch in exciting ways.

The FIFA 19 demo has the first look at the final chapter in the dramatic saga of Alex Hunter and friends in The Journey: Champions, too.

Your favourite features from The Journey: Hunter Returns are back, including character customisation, dialogue choices, and more. After a rollercoaster of a journey to MLS and back to Europe, Alex is heading to one of the most famous clubs in the world, Real Madrid, where he will meet and be mentored by teammates like Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, and more.

He’ll even interact with more of the world’s biggest footballers, including Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Juventus’ Paulo Dybala, and PSG’s Neymar Jr.

For the first time in the series, Alex isn’t the only character with a playable story. You can also play the full-length of Alex’s half-sister Kim and his best friend Danny Williams. All three players are about to reach one of the biggest moments of their careers, and you can get a first look at the highly-anticipated finale, only in the FIFA 19 demo.

best of luck for when you’ll be in court in Belgium. You gonna need it. This is Europe. your lawyers, lobbyists and the billions you took out of kids pockets while fostering a gambling addiction won’t help you here. and the more waves you make by trying to fight belgian law, the sooner other countries will have anti lootbox laws, until eventually EU-wide.

Football = Buffalo Bills

And the whining begins, didnt have to buy anything in Fifa 18 to get a great team, new reward system was great, hopefully its even better this time :)

Speaking up against a predatory business model isn’t whining. There are people who spent more than 1000 Eur on Fifa, that’s real money for fake football players.

The former EA CEO once explained his vision for MTX, going as far as to even charge money for a clip while playing Battlefield. “…six hours into playing Battlefield, you’re running out of ammo, and we ask you for a Dollar to reload, you’re really not very price sensitive at that point and time” -> https://youtu.be/ZR6-u8OIJTE

There are more aspects to MTX and companies like EA and Bungie that come into play besides the definition of gambling, like their hiring of behaviorists. They practically try to manipulate people into spending money, young people whose brains are still in development. Later addiction to anything, not just gambling, becomes more likely with the habbit being fostered at a young age, due to the brain’s plasticity and the development of the nervous system.

A country banning lootboxes isn’t whining, them launching a criminal investigation against EA isn’t whining, me leaving a comment on that matter under a blog post that advertises one of the absolute worst and shameless companies’ annual Skinner box isn’t whining.

You know what’s whining? EA trying to fight laws because they can already see their shares plummeting, that’s whinning. Players who lack oversight and understanding, trying to justify unresponsible business practices, that’s whining.

These practices do not only impact video game culture, but society as a whole. Besides developing a predisposition to addiction, they are raising a generation that believes there’s nothing wrong with companies selling them bags of nothing under the premise they might get lucky and get some shiny 3d model-reskin with better stats that will give them an edge in a video game for a few months.

Speaking up against what you belive to be wrong will never be whining.

Are people really that stupid that they’ll buy the exact same game every year? Just wait a year and your sad £60 will be 20p in a bargain bin along with every other previous iteration, just like CoD.
