Marvel’s Spider-Man first DLC, The Heist releases next week

Get your first look at Spidey's new Resilient Suit, designed by famed Marvel illustrator Gabriele Dell'Otto.

Since we launched Marvel’s Spider-Man, we’ve been absolutely floored by the amazing response from everyone. Since then, one of the most common questions we have received is, “when can I get more content to play?”

You’ll be happy to know that our first chapter of our Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps DLC Series, Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist, will release in one week on 23rd October. We’re thrilled to continue expanding our original Spider-Man universe with this first of three add-on chapters.

As we have throughout the year for the base game, we worked with Marvel artists on some brand new art for Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist. This art illustrating Spider-Man and Black Cat, comes from famed Marvel illustrator and suit designer Adi Granov.

The Heist

As you play Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist, you’ll encounter the beginning of a new, interconnected story taking place over the three chapters of Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps. A robbery at an art museum entangles Spider-Man and MJ with an old flame from Peter Parker’s past, Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat.

Beyond new story missions, there’s a whole new faction of enemies, new crimes, new challenges, new trophies, and of course, three brand new suits.

The Heist

Here’s a first look at the three new suits.

One we’d love to highlight is the Resilient Suit, by famed Marvel illustrator Gabriele Dell’Otto. We loved bringing original suits to the game, starting with our Advanced Suit, and continuing with Adi Granov’s Velocity Suit, and this is another great one.

Additionally we have two more suits that fans of the comics will recognize, Spider-Man’s suit from Scarlet Spider II, and the Spider-UK suit from the Spider-Verse.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist can be purchased on PlayStation Store. If you want to save money, you can order the entire Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps series, which will get you Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist, as well as the two additional chapters releasing later this year.

Spider-Man is/was a great game!

But I’m not going to buy this DLC a few days before the release of RDR2.

I’ll wait untill I can buy the DLC in a sale ;-)

A couple of questions if I may:

(1) how is The Heist accessed – via a separate menu option, or via a mission marker in the open world? If it’s the latter, how far into the story do you need to progress before accessing it, and is there a recommended level?

(2) is there going to be a Spider-Cop suit in one of the future DLCs?

I have no idea about Spider-Cop but I feel since so many fans want it Insomniac will definitely have one eventually, and for the Heist I feel it would be in the game via mission marker that usually how these kind of DLCs tend to work

They re adding 2 new trophies and one is for completing in ultimate difficulty

I´ll do it

If you have already completed it on ultimate difficulty do you automatically get the new trophy?

It’s a new difficulty, more difficult than the hard one in the game already.

But there was first dlc when Spider-Man came out it’s 15 pounds . What going on

That was season pass, this is the first DLC and the second and last will be available in November and December respectively

Can’t say I’m fond of the new suits there (Scarlet Spider II at least looks a bit better in 3D than it does in a comic where I easily class it as one of the worst looking Spider-suits ever) but I am craving more gameplay and Black Cat looks great so can’t wait for this DLC and I have the deluxe digital version so I’ve already paid. :D

The Spidey UK suit looks like a Kick-Ass inspired suit.

So if so if we haven’t gotten platinum yet, will the new trophies be required for it?

Commonly the dlcs have their own platinum trophy, but idk how this is gonna work. In dishonord the dlc had worked like i said

No. Platinum requirements stay as they are, with these new trophies being added to a separate list

Spiderman/Black Cat co-op gameplay confirmed!

Just kidding… Or am I?!
