There might be one or two duplicates in that list?

Also, Happy Halloween everyone.

There maybe just a few.

Hm there’s only a couple of those still in my 45 game wishlist and those are still more than i can afford. :P Nice sale for other folk though probably. :)

So, 11 out of 76 of my watchlist’d games are on sale but they are still really expensive.

Physical versions of most of these games can be found for the same price as in this “sale” or even lower. And they’re resellable! What a great rip off, once again! And no Vita titles either…

Next chance for discount shoppers is Black Friday, then January sale. Yes, I intentionally skipped that infamous December ‘sale’.

But without the 12 days of Christmas sale how else are you going to get 5% off CoD?!?

So, I have only played Yakuza 0 and the Kiwami games, is 6 fine to jump into?

play them in order

You could, but then you won’t get the full story. You could skip 0, but 1/kiwami is pretty much essential. The series is a continuous story and 6 more or less assumes you know the characters, storypoints and etc.

You can skip dead souls though.

Yes. Yakuza 3-5 are great fun, but they hardly contribute to Yakuza 6’s story. The most relevant bit is the opening act in Yakuza 3 where Kiryu moves to an Okinawa orphanage together with Haruka.

That is not to say they aren’t worth playing. The silliness in side content, which was more or less birthed in Yakuza 2’s “Be my baby” side story (also in Kiwami 2), kicked into gear in 3; and the different narrative structure in 4 and 5, with a handful of playable characters in each, is worth experiencing.

Yakuza: Dead Souls may not have the best story, gameplay or framerate, but it does have the best karaoke moment (Majima in Get to the Top).

The price of games in these sales seems to keep rising. This is a perfect example of how NOT to sell digital software.

Looks like support for Vita and PS3 has ended faster than March 2019… sad, there’s plenty of games that got on sales once or twice in all of those years.

Kingdom Come:Deliverance isn’t in the sale on the Swiss PS Store, and going from the UK to the Swiss store leads to some old preorder thing that can’t be bought anymore.

Is watchdogs2 worth 14 squid.

It’s good Tekken 7 is deal of the week.

Because it hopefully means no one is buying an unfinished shell of a game lacking basic content, the only new stuff being bland new characters (ok Kazumi is ok, but the rest are pointless), overpriced junk DLC, lazy modes and even the online is buggy and sucks (and is slow/abandoned/pointless).

Also it’s deserved for all the lies and miss-selling that has occurred and still does occur (they’re still claiming it’s “photo realistic” and “innovative” when it looks like a PS3 game and has no new fighting game features).

Lego Ninjago has finally gone on sale, just in time to, I grabbed the platinum for DC Super-Villains today.

Farewell money and space on my hard drive

And hello to even more games i may never finish

Not an accurate list. None of the Grand Theft Auto games are showing a discount. (I’m a PS + member).

Or L.A.Noire, or Pro Evolution Soccer… Booooooooo!

Accurate list. However, you appear to be wishing that the discounts announced for the European store were valid in the American store. Different continent, different Halloween sales, I’m afraid.

Loving the background picture for this post! I’m almost ready to forgive you at the PS blog for skipping the announcement for Yakuza Kiwami 2’s release. Almost.

We close the comments for posts after 30 days.
