It’s the last week before Christmas and PlayStation Store is back with a roster of new titles for you to take a look at before the festivities start.

Enjoy the remastered R-Type Dimensions EX, shoot your way to the top of the leaderboard in Scintillatron 4096 and battle it out to synthwave music in Hellfront: Honeymoon.

See the list below for last minute gift ideas for your nearest and dearest… or yourself.

1. R-Type Dimensions EX

R-Type Dimensions

Fight the evil Bydo Empire in classic arcade shooters R-Type and R-Type II, switching between remastered 3D visuals and classic 2D. Play solo or join friends in local multiplayer and challenge yourself in Infinite mode.

2. Scintillatron 4096

Take on hundreds of enemies in this retro high-score shooter by kFunction where topping the global leaderboards is the aim of the game. Gather points in a colour-based combo system that’s easy to learn but difficult to master, and try your luck in two-player PvP battle modes.

3. Hellfront: Honeymoon

SkyGoblin’s twin-stick action strategy game is best enjoyed with a few friends over a six-pack of fruit juice. Play both solo and co-op missions or duke it out to synthwave music in intense deathmatches. If you’re extra competitive, speedrun to compete for bragging rights on the leaderboards.

Do not pre-order Anthem or any EA games!

Sage advice!

I will preorder anything I choose to, you really should stop trying to order people around, this is not North Korea

He isn’t telling you what to do, he’s telling you what you should do! The only thing wrong with their recommendation is that they specify EA. I don’t think any games should be pre ordered at all any more regardless of developer or publisher.

Any chance R-Type Dimensions EX is free for those of us who bought it on PS3 and is a very similar package? :D

Where be Battle Princess Madelyn? Devs said it got moved from 13th to 20th but I no see it here.

R-Type on PS4 is the very same game except for two extra speed buttons and higher resolution, i wouldn’t bother.

No need get that game got it free on PS3 but again glad come ps4 but stick PS3 vision lol ?

Carnivius_Prime 17 December, 2018 @ 18:59

Please fix the download q… whatever, it seems to be fixed now. Really. Apparently it started working again with PS3 and Vita games at the end of last week. Thanks to whoever supported me and to whoever discouraged/threatened/trolled me in the past weeks/months. Also a big fat SHAME ON YOU on whoever took SEVEN MONTHS to fix this issue. I’m officially done here :)

No pleasing some people!

It must be cool to have customers like Futureshark who never complain about broken functionalities and are so grateful in drinking the Kool Aid all year long.

One of worst week of the year is here that nothing much new all this week same games on store already and bundles of same games Anyway Merry xmas to everybody and hope next month better because got Res2 Remake And KH3 which I get anyways Merry Xmas 2018

This time of year is never great for game releases to be fair. Too much competition for people’s money around Christmas time.

Rocksmith DLC for this week is The Rolling Stones with Brown Sugar, Gimmie Shelter, Jumping Jack Flash and Sympathy for the Devil.

Keef will live forever.

Might pick up Nippon Marathon – it looks like lots of fun.

Yeah, I agree. I looks like silly fun.

R-type dimensions Ex for me dispte the fact that its made it from every console i have owned it will be worth seeing how it plays on the PS4 as for the rest yet another terrible week to end a terrible its not looking good for SCEE Lets see if things get better in 2019 i guess the first new update will be on 7th January

are we getting the dmc5 demo or is it exclusive to xbox?

Xbox until the 7th January. No guarantee it will come to PS4. Capcom are worrying me. Ads in Street fighter V, Microtransactions rumoured for Resident Evil 2, microtransactions for DMC V and exclusivity deals on a Demo. They must be desperate for cash.

If by “Microtransactions rumoured for Resident Evil 2” you mean the “In-game purchases” disclaimer, newsflash: it also appears in Store pages for games that have generic DLC or no DLC at all. The game is safe, trust me, the only DLC is the one you’re seeing for preordering, no boosts or lootboxes.

at this point i wouldn’t put it past capcom

DMC5 will have micro transactions so it wouldn’t surprise me if they did the same with re2

i hate them for it but dmc5 and re2 are my most anticipated games

The Persona dancing games have also released on Vita . . . in case anyone actually wanted to know.

Are we going to get a real good xmas deal like the US have ?. Ive got money here just waiting.

Though I knew it was the dancing games, I sort of wished to see Persona 3
