New on PlayStation Store this week: Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, Onimusha: Warlords, Vane, more

The Walking Dead: The Final Season – Episode 3 and The Grand Tour Game also hit the shelves

Video games let us delve into places we’d otherwise consider out of our reach, and PlayStation Store has a new slate of adventures to send you on this week. Play with powerful warplanes in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown or explore a different era in Onimusha: Warlords, crushing a few demons along the way.

There are plenty of new experiences to choose from over the next seven days, so let’s dive in.

1. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown

Live out your dreams of becoming an ace pilot and take to the skies in Bandai Namco’s action-packed flight simulator, and engage in wild dogfights in special missions built for PS VR. Pre-order and you’ll get a digital copy of Ace Combat: Squadron Leader to wet your appetite ahead of the new game’s release.

2. The Grand Tour Game

The Grand Tour Game

Have you ever wanted to race Clarkson, Hammond and May? Amazon Games Studios is releasing this episodic racing game alongside the third season of The Grand Tour. Each episode will feature the same fancy cars, locations and ridiculous challenges from the series that’ll make you feel like you’re playing the show.

3. Vane

Exploration fans should not miss out on this atmospheric adventure in which you shift between the forms – and perspectives – of bird and child. Explore a treacherous weather-beaten world, solve mysteries and witness how the game reacts to the path you’ve taken.

4. The Walking Dead: The Final Season – Episode 3

The Walking Dead: The Final Season

It’s been a long and perilous journey for Clementine. The latest episode Broken Toys picks up where Suffer the Children left off, as Clem and her companions search for their missing friends. Take one step closer to completing her gut-wrenching story and watch as she learns to become a leader.

5. Onimusha: Warlords

Capcom is back with an updated version of its fan-favourite action adventure set in feudal Japan. Characters, environments and cinematics have all gotten a high definition upgrade with a widescreen option. Kick demon butt, rescue the princess and look even better doing it.

This week’s pre-orders

1. Resident Evil 2

Capcom has given this survival horror classic a full remake and fused exploration, puzzle-solving and survival elements of the original game with modern graphics, snappy combat and more areas to explore. If you can’t wait to get started, you can take a sneak peek at the horrors to come with Resident Evil 2 1-Shot demo.

2. Jump Force

Kamehameha! Fight alongside Dragon Ball’s Goku as worlds collide and powerful manga characters drop into our world to battle it out. Spike Chunsoft serves up an all-action anime fighter with characters from One Piece, Naruto, Yu-Gi-Oh! and more.

Huh? Is someone else releasing The Walking Dead? Or did Telltale Games unbankrupt itself? I haven’t followed any news around that lately.

1.1

It was picked up by Skybound games (the studio owned by original owners of the Walking Dead IP, Skybound Entertainment) and development was continued by several members of the original team from Telltale Games, dubbed Team Still Not Bitten.

Viryu, Episodes 3 and 4 of this final season of The Walking Dead are being finished up by a team of 40 or so former devs from TellTale Games. Robert Kirkman, the original creator of The Walking Dead, stepped in with his studio, Skybound Games, to finish up the game for fans and for those who had bought into the season pass and brought in the former TellTale devs to finish up the game. Sadly, TellTale is still gone along with the other projects they had in the go (Such as the second season of The Wolf Among Us).

2.1

Sybound are working to restore all seasons of the Walking Dead to be available for purchase though, which is pretty cool of them.

Wow

AC: Odyssey DLC part 2 is finally here, two hours of gameplay again, can’t wait to wait another month for the next chapter. They should’ve been released at once, but naah.

4.1

Do as I do, wait until all episodes are released.

4.2

Yup, wait till they’re out and maybe even get a discount on the season pass. That’s how I always do it. Especially when you don’t know the length of the dlc and it’s quality.

Still no KHVR Since Meant Come Out 18th Jan So I Guess Squareenix mess around Again Oh Well Would Be Great Birthday present For Me So

5.1

The PS Update frequently misses stuff out, I wouldn’t worry until it doesn’t show up. Having said that I’m pretty sure it’s just a VR music video so I wouldn’t get too excited.

PSA to Developers it’s January, SLOW DOWN.

Ace Combat, Onimusha, ACO DLC (still need to start the game) and TWD Ep.3

6.1

Not everybody likes those games.

You know people liking something doesn’t dictate the quantity of products offered, right?

Capcom should have put Onimusha or RE2 in February, as they’re not really doing anything until mid march.

Or at least not released RE2 the day before the MHW festival..

Senran Kagura Burst: ReCensored. how about those emojis ? cause you can totally click them with your mouse, that’s abuse !!! even worse, emojis are relatively young! OMG so mUch PervERt

Dude are you still crying about molestation mode being removed from that crap?

7.2

“Dude are you still crying over Japanese games being unfairly and hypocritically censored, games that already worked openly with classification boards? Putting strain on niche developers/publishers and giving sexuality a pass in Western developed games?”

7.3

@Quinlank I do wonder why nobody has an issue with 12 year old and below kids playing cartoon styled games where you shoot people with authentic looking guns to kill other people… I do wonder how is it not a problem for 14 year old kids to play games where you shoot only male enemies, just to win something that does not exist… I dunno, mate.

I don’t give a crap about “molestation” mode, I care for developers to be free to make a game they wanted, not to be censored by a platform holder who has no issue with kids playing violent games on their platform, but has issues with cartoon anime characters with too much skin.

Very excited to finally get YIIK, I’ve been looking forward to that for quite some time now! ?

Still no TWD: Episode 3 on the UK store release is ment to be today.

You need to go to the main menu in the game and click on episode 3. It will download from there, the store doesn’t show it for some reason.

9.3

Not being able to buy something you want, its like being 4 yo outside the candystore all over again

Is Emerald Shores out somewhere? Or Kingdom of Blades? Not yet in Norway, at least.
