At Sundown: Shots in the Dark is a PS4 multiplayer arena battler with a stealth twist

In this fast-paced, top-down shooter, you're only visible to other players when attacking

In a world covered in darkness… one man remains… and that’s me, Ted Park, Project Lead of At Sundown: Shots in the Dark!

When we started this game, we never expected it to be more than a side project to keep us entertained between college classes. We also never expected to get up on stage in fancy suits to accept a student BAFTA. Or show off the game at PSX 2017.

Now as we get ready to sit next to the Playstation greats such as Kratos and Nathan Drake on 22nd January, I’ve learned to always expect the unexpected – especially if your game is about springing out from the shadows!

At Sundown: Shots in the Dark is a love letter to the stealth games and action-packed local multiplayer games of yore. The rules are simple – when you’re in the light, or when you shoot, you can be seen by everyone. When you’re in the dark, you’re invisible. If you ever wanted to sneak up on your friend in the dark and shoot him from behind, now you can! Virtually, I mean.

We designed this game to be really easy to pick up and play, while throwing in a lot of features for those that want a deeper experience.

Each weapon you unlock brings a new twist to the battlefield; the revolvers’ bullets bounce off of walls, for instance. We’ve also created a bunch of maps with fun mechanics. Dodge lasers that reveal you in the Factory levels, or boogie down in the Disco levels, where the floor panels light up to the beat! There are 11 weapons and 18 maps to unlock in total.

All in all, we wanted At Sundown: Shots in the Dark to be a great time with friends, since we were college students when we started this. So grab some drinks and call up your buddies, and let the shadow shenanigans begin! Or hop online and test your skills by playing ranked matches, to see who truly is the king of the shadows.

And since we’re in Europe, At Sundown: Shots in the Dark will support English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, and Polish text. Whew, did I miss anything?

To celebrate our first release, we’re discounting the game during launch week by 20%! This also includes the Playstation exclusive Avatar edition, which gives you the game and Playstation Avatars of all 4 of our characters: Dawn, Eve, Dusk and Midnight.

Hope to see you soon… At Sundown!

I would get it right away, but I already bought some games recently, so I’ll probably wait to feel less guilty.

Still, looks fun and I like the different settings, like bots and dynamic camera.

Looks like a futuristic Secret Ponchos and sounds like a little known indie game called Black and White Bushido. I’m interested enough to add it to my wishlist.
