Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon Every Buddy!, Fate/Extella Link also release

Ninjas abound on PlayStation Store this week. Battle larger than life foes against the backdrop of 16th-century Japan in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, or if you prefer a more retro-styled shinobi-centric adventure – test your mettle in The Messenger.
Check out our full list of highlights below, then head over to PlayStation Store for more information.

1. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Become a master shinobi as you explore the blood-soaked Sengoku period of Japan in the new action-adventure by FromSoftware – the creator of Bloodborne and the Dark Souls series. Mix stealth, head-to-head combat, vertical movement and an arsenal of prosthetic tools to take down your enemies.

2. The Messenger

Hit indie The Messenger seems like a good old-fashioned action platformer at first, but morphs into a time-travel adventure with a healthy side order of humour. Step into the shoes of a ninja as you battle memorable villains, find hidden levels and play with character upgrades.

3. SNK 40th Anniversary Collection

Feeling nostalgic? SNK celebrates its 40th anniversary by releasing a collection of classic arcade games from its golden age. Revisit fan-favourite retro titles including the Ikari trilogy, Psycho Soldier, Crystalis and more.

4. Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY!

Chocobo's Mystery Dungeon EVERY BUDDY!
Square Enix’s Final Fantasy spin-off Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon is back with updated graphics, unique new dungeons and local co-op. Enjoy an engaging story as you fight and befriend monsters to help you clear treacherous dungeons. The more monsters you collect, the easier it’ll be to conquer any obstacles headed your way.

5. Fate/EXTELLA LINK

Fate/EXTELLA LINK
Marvelous’ new anime action title picks up where Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star left off with improved visuals and a bigger roster of playable characters. Play around with new battle mechanics in single-player and go all-out in a multiplayer mode supporting 4 vs 4 online battles.

I is feeling retro so maybe The Messenger, Alwa’s Awakening or SNK 40th Anniversary (still weird to think it’s been 40 years) depending on prices and such cos I’m just a poor boy, nobody loves me…

Any news on the Dead By Daylight update? it was leaked to come out this week.

Anyone only getting one dynamic theme downloading with their Sekiro pre-order? Says we get another one called “Hirata Estate”, but no sign of it

4.1

Maybe you forgot to pre-order the pre-order.

4.2

maybe at the day of release?

4.3

@Barrow30: Is it wrong that could be plausible?

@Argonark: Yeah I think that might be the case. US got both, but of course they always get themes and the like instantly unlike us.

I get it Activevision playing chicken 🐓 because reasle game when not much games come out in week because need money right know. Anyway I hope game sales but just saying fact

6

Nice dirty great DMC V spoilers in the DLC section less than 2 weeks after launch, that’s nice.

6.1

It’s not exactly a spoiler unless you know it already.

Though let’s hope they retcon that junk a soon as possible and remove the annoying sandal wearing guy.. Oh and instead bring back Lucia, the only main character (and female character) to never make a proper appearance in any sequel…

6.2

That character being mentioned as part of this game is kind of a spoiler in and of itself when you think about it, but pairing the names like that is beyond stupid since it confirms not just one but 2 things.

6.3

At face value all it’s saying is that it’s an alt character color for some characters. So it can’t really confirm anything, other than those characters are in the game (which the prerelease trailers already revealed).

Anything more than that we’re just placing on it because we know stuff, but people who didn’t probably wouldn’t see that link.

yes, The Messenger and Fate Extella Link! That’s a good week!

Sadly another week gone by & still nothing on Battle Princess Madelyn. @CasualBitGames seem to imply on twitter its up to Sony Europe but seem to be radio silent on the “unforseen issues” why it didn’t get approval & what they’ve done since to address it. Anyone asking about the Euro/Aus psn version rarely get a reply. Released on U.S. psn in mid December. How long does it take to finish a game released on all other storefronts (Xbox/Switch etc.)?

yeah i gave up asking about it on here and the devs seem frustrated with the delays too.

Though it’s a bit annoying (and you’d need another account), you could always buy US PSN store credit online and buy it that way?

I did ask them if I should do that but they weren’t sure about any compatibility issues. I may have to do that anyways. It kinda bugs my OCD that it won’t show up on my usual accounts library (where i reinstall/delete games all the time for hard drive space and such) which annoyed me enough with my US downloaded Bubble Bobble that I ended up grabbing the EU version when in a sale. :P But yeah I’m tempted to get the US one just to put an end to the wait. I’ve had a US account for almost a decade now since buying Castlevania Symphony of the Night PS1 Classic on there which still took another 3 years or so to make it to our store. :P

Yeah mate, seems quite a strange one with B.P.M! Its unfortunate there’s no Indie Games management (like early ps4 days) to ask about it…but when other small indies like eg Ghost of Tale have managed to get their games approved/released on both psn store’s at the same time it does make me wonder if Battle Princess Madelyn has been lost in the application process. But I do find the devs silence on the issue isn’t helpful. I’d be peeved if i’d been a kickstarter backer…a shame cos I loved the G’N’G games & was keen for this!
