It’s obvious why this is on sale. The final bit of paid dlc went live on tuesday.

Until games like this have affordable season passes or the season passes become discounted over time like the base game, I’m no longer buying AAA games until the inevitable Complete Edition comes out. What’s the incentive of buying this game right now when the season pass costs more than the game itself? And the high price of the Season Pass will never change. Apart from the rare sale, Season Passes remain around £32. It’s ridiculous greed and if anything stops me paying higher prices for games. I pay £40+ for a game and 12 months later the Season Pass is still £32 while the Complete Edition is £20-£25. It’s a no brainer.

I totally understand your stance but AC Odyssey’s season pass is very good value for money. The paid DLC clocks in at around 30 hours for all 6 episodes as well as containing AC3/AC Liberation which sells for £30 itself and results in another 50 hours of gaming.

As for “complete editions” they exist now at launch rather than a year or so after release and are known as Gold Editions. They inevitably will depreciate in price but you are a long way behind the times in speaking of GOTY physical releases, it’s time to accept the change and adapt rather than live in the past.

“you should accept being shafted rather than live in the past where you were shafted less”.

Yeah, no i’m fine with just waiting years for the whole game to be both complete and cheap. Doing otherwise is just helping prove to companies how foolish consumers are.

If companies what to screw consumers over for more and more money they’ll have to learn to adapt to less sales at launch. The future is affected by how you act. Remember how online passes went away too?

Why only Deluxe edition? Almost all DLC are released, so it would be perfect time to buy Gold Edition. And actually for half-price I would love to buy it today

Amazing dlc content, love it :)

Shame this ‘deal’ has none of it.

How can it be called the deluxe edition if it doesn’t include any of the DLC? Very shady. I have given up buying games with too much DLC or multiple editions as it’s hard to keep track of what’s included and what’s not.

Back in my day “deluxe” meant something.
