No Man’s Sky Beyond gets physical release on PS4 next month

Hello Games collects the original sci-fi adventure and all its expansions onto one disc

Hello! Over three years ago the first PlayStation 4 discs of No Man’s Sky were hitting retail shelves worldwide.

Those discs represented the first step along an amazing three-year journey that we and the No Man’s Sky community have been on together. It’s been a rollercoaster, but six major free updates later (Foundations, Pathfinder, Atlas Rises, Next, The Abyss and Visions), and we arrived at BEYOND.

Launched last week, BEYOND is our largest and in some ways most important update. It massively expands multiplayer and increases the capacity for social interactions in a major way. On top of this the whole game is now playable in fully realised VR.

It also delivers a whole load of new features, large and small, which come together with the two other pillars to form what we call No Man’s Sky Version 2.0.

BEYOND is our attempt to bring all of the strands of No Man’s Sky into a more cohesive whole and to fill in the detail so that, no matter your play style, no matter whether you’re a newcomer or veteran, it is an instantly accessible world and one that makes sense.

It seems only fitting that we should bundle up all of these three years of updates, re-master the game and re-issue it on a shiny new disc.

We’re super excited to tell you that a physical version of No Man’s Sky: BEYOND will be available to buy on North America on 10th September, and in Europe on 11th September.

No Man’s Sky continues to be an amazing journey, thank you for joining us.

Much love,

Sean

Come on! Again, let’s hear it for the almighty, the hardest working man in show business, the undefeated heavyweight champion of gaming, the main man, ittttttsssssss Sean “steam train” Murray!!! Big up ya self! We love you Sean!!

My biggest issue was that they charged AAA price for it, regardless of whether it gained a semblance of a full game three years later…

EXACTLY. I agree. Never was going to go near this game when they announced the 60 quid price tag on the game on Steam and PS4 back in March 2016. If this isn’t €20 or less on disc, I still ain’t touching it lol.

Exactly. The price was only problem. (is not anymore). It was indie game from 10 people studio. And the amount of conted was according to this. So the price should be different to reflect this. Otherwise it was totally fine small indie game.

And if the developer cleary states “you will most probably never ever meet another player in this universe” and players start complaining, that they could not play with friend from day one… I dont see how it is a fault of developers.

Does that mean the game is out of beta? #MuchLove

well it is out of the beta for a long time.

If you are asking, if it means you will not feel the game is still in beta – only you can know.

who’s being greedy?

I started playing NMS after Pathfinder, took a break not long after Atlas Rises was released, and only decided to jump back in now that Beyond is out. I can’t believe how much the game has changed. Loads more depth, lots of variation, and a lot of quality of life changes. It might not be to everyone’s taste but I find an hour or two in NMS is a nice relaxing wind down from a busy day.

Launch it with all the patches, the more the better, not everyone have internet and the disc should be as stable as it can without additional patches post launch.

I wanted to ask if you shut down your servers forever on the ps4 will you take my offline digital games that I bought with actual money
