New ReadySet Heroes update brings cross-play, new combat areas to the multiplayer brawler today

Find out how to match-make with PC players as V1.08 update rolls out on PS4

Hi PlayStation fans, Lance here from Robot Entertainment! Today we’re announcing some great new updates for ReadySet Heroes.

First up we’re proud to announce that Cross-Play is coming to ReadySet Heroes today, so you can play with your friends (or find new friends!) across PS4 and PC*. We’ve been working super hard on this behind the scenes, and we’re so pleased to be able to finally cut the ribbon and let the matchmaking between console and PC players commence!

To enable Cross-Play make sure you’ve got the latest update (V1.08) downloaded, then hit the Settings icon while joining a match and make sure ‘Connect to PS4 only’ is unticked. This will mean that when matchmaking you’re on-board with players from PC and PS4! You can tell who’s playing on PS4 by the little PS4 icon beside their username.

We’re also pleased to announce that we’re bringing more into the mix with update V1.08! Across the Woodlands, Castle, Graveyard and Caves we’re adding new rooms filled with monsters, traps, puzzles and all the rest to really mix up the challenge and keep you warriors on your toes!

We’ll be adding more updates frequently, so make sure you stay tuned for more info.

See you in the dungeons!

It’s not a good idea, I think. The entire first month online was dead and servers were unavailable. Now a paid subscription will be added to bad online. Sony could attract attention of the audience to ReadySet Heroes with a free network mode. That would be fair since it’s a cross-platform game.

Only free to play titles get to bypass the PS+ requirement.

Hopefully Sony go back on the PS4’s greedy plan and make online free again with the PS5. As Sony neither provide servers for games or do much else, there isn’t actually a reason to pay them.

The cross-play wasn’t something I lacked in this game. In ReadySet Heroes disconnecting the controller EXITS TO MAIN MENU. Imagine you’re on final boss and the controller turned off due to low battery – all your progress wasted. Same goes for co-op – one of the controllers is off, the game returns to main menu. You have to answer an important call and your joypad will automatically turn off in several minutes to conserve battery? Say goodbye to your progress…

Was is so hard to make the game just pause and wait until the controller is reconnected?
