An absolute joke… 3 games that’s it!? The service has gone from 10 games a month to 3-4 limited time games? Glad my subscription is running out, this service has become very poor value.

1.1

I prefer 3 good games, instead 10 bad indies o PS3 games with 15 years old behind. Quantity doesnt means quality.

September….

De Blob

FarmingSimulator 19

Gravity Rush 2

LittleBigPlanet 3

MudRunner

Red Faction Guerilla Re-MARS-tered

RIDE 3

The Surge

Titan Quest

Vampyr

That’s 10 good games imo…

Problem is not quality over quantity.

The problem is that they clearly stated that they will add evergreen titles + marquee titles each month.

And yet, last month, ok we had big AAA games (even if first party exclusives should be here permanently, not talking about GTA V) and but no evergreen titles. And this month, we have 2 marquee titles (Shadow of War and Persona 5) which I don’t consider as marquee titles (both are 2017 titles, even if they are good, that’s not the question here) + only 1 evergreen titles (Hollow Knight which is a very good game too).

We pay for a service and it is clear that marquee titles somewhat replaced evergreen titles… We want quantity and quality on both marquee and evergreen titles.

My subscription has come to an end. We were told these limited titles would be on top of the evergreen additions. Instead of the 20 games I would have got over 2 months we have had 7. These limited time titles were supposed to be added to what we usually get and it seems they have been replaced instead. Reduced subscription price comes at a price it would seem, would rather pay more for what we had. I used Now for the weird and wonderful, not the games we should be buying at launch, if we’re interested. Last month’s 4 have been played by everyone who wanted them, this month’s offering of 3 is less content and worse. After not getting the usual indie games we used to get, I’m done. Subscription just cancelled.

This is no longer the service I subscribed to a few months ago, and I won’t be renewing in the future. As mentioned above, these timed big titles were supposed to be on top of the usual game offerings, but they have simply replaced them, making the service worthless, especially compared to what the main competitor is offering.

I had a feeling this would happen, as Sony just can’t seem to keep a good thing going without messing it up, but it’s sad to see PlayStation not even trying anymore.

3.1

“especially compared to what the main competitor is offering.” – You do realise Gamepass is about 1/6 of the size of PSNow and they not only add a few games a month but also remove a bunch without telling anyone anymore. At least PSNow is telling you how long you have these bigger games for, so you aren’t forced to buy them if you wish to continue.

3.2

@turniplord – As stated by others in the comments, it’s not about quantity but quality. As a Gamepass subscriber I am fully aware that the library isn’t as vast as PS Now, but it does contain better and newer titles overall. Yes, they do remove games from time to time, just like PS Now always has, but the titles on offer are up for much longer than just a couple of months, including the big games that are added upon release (Outer Worlds, Blair Witch etc.)

There is simply no denying that Gamepass is a better service, especially the way MS are creating bundle deals with it included, and the way the company is adding first party games to it day one with no time limit. Sony are trying to ape what MS are doing without fully committing. They add some first party games sure, but long after release and with a time limit so short, that anyone with a decent work and family life will find it hard to complete them all in time. I mean Persona 4 getting removed in february? That game is quite a...

Well that’s a bit disappointing !Yeah these games are good but that’s only 3 games and 2 of which are temporary (and I don’t consider them as « marquee titles »)

You said you still add evergreen titles and yet you only added 1 title (Hollow Knight) in 2 months…

Please add more evergreen titles and don’t forget PS2/PS3 titles. You coud even add PS1 games.

And upgrade PS3 to PS4 games like Uncharted, The Last of Us, Arkham games, Bioshock Collection

Very nice. I was waiting for P5 royale, but I’ll play Persona5 in PSnow instead. For me is a good month

6

What happened to the other 10 games a month? I already own Persona 5, so its like I’m paying for 2 random games that I might not like :(

6.1

You’re paying for over 700 games plus whatever gets added the following month. You’re not just paying for these new games…

Why is everyone making out like they’ve been deceived or something…

6.2

Because it would seem we have been. If you have to ask why everyone thinks something, its probably because what they think is true.

6.3

@turniplord I don’t (soon to be didn’t) just subscribe for the current library, but also for the expansion of said library. The way Sony has changed the service with marquee titles, and the way they have decided to implement them, will result in a stagnation in the number of games on offer on the service. As soon as we get to the point where the marquee games start getting removed, the growth of the library will be severely stunted, as newly added temporary games will only be replacing the former. Sure there’ll be an evergreen here and there, but it’s nowhere near the growth that we’ve been seeing the past few months prior to this business decision. The lowering of the subscription price in no way equates to the loss in value of the service, but most people don’t see that, and Sony knows it.

7

You need to put in over 2 hours a day, everyday from today until Feb 4th to get the platinum for Persona 5. The game is clearly not available for an adequate amount of time to most gamers.

7.1

That’s clearly intentional. Get people hooked so they buy the game once it’s removed from the service.

Oh! Persona 5 on Now. Have to admit I never saw that 🎶 COM-IIIIIIIING 🎶

… *coughs awkwardly and goes back to Outer Worlds on Game Pass*

9

Should be atleast 1 online game like last month (gta v).

Atleast you could add 1 game that you only play for 30 days, cus 3 games is way to low.

Business wise ;).

I feel pretty bad about the new situation. The new time limited games give me the feeling I play long demos and Sony wants to trick me in buying the games as I can’t finish them in time. I really enjoyed the old situation where I got 10 games where I found many hidden gems (for me personally) I enjoyed playing. So much variety and games that stay for long instead of three months which give me the feeling to rush those games to finish them in time. I’m very disappointed.

Enjoying shadow of war. Just hope I finish it before February

I’m out. As soon as my sub is up. If we are only going to get limited time games from now on it doesn’t appeal in the slightest. According to Sony you have to be a hardcore gamer now if you want to enjoy this service. No way the average person will game enough to finish God of War, GTA V, Uncharted 4, Infamous, Persona 5 and Shadow of War all by February when they’ve left the service. So, in effect (which I’m sure is Sony’s intention) it’s just a sneaky way to get you to pay for Now AND then buy the game as well. S*** over your customers as usual eh Sony.

Sony always take one step forward and two steps back with these services. Plus is terrible value for money now (ended that sub as well) and Now could have been amazing when they made the price more competitive, and then they go and ruin it by doing this! What happened to the evergreen titles we were still supposed to be getting? Hollow Knight. That’s it? That’s regularly on sale for about £5 anyway!

I was really enjoying the mix of games we would get each month on Now, and knowing that I was subbed for a year so I could dip into them whenever I wanted was great. I’d get games I missed back in the day, indie games I’d not heard of and big games I’d probably not buy but happy to try. Now what? Three ‘limited time trials’ in effect each month. No thanks.

13

Damn it Sony you was doing so well!! I was so tempted by the changes to the service recently that I tried out the free trial and loved what I saw. I thought to myself, I’ll just wait for the next monthly update and then I’m 95% sure I’ll sign up. Well you just found the other 5%! If it’s just gonna be all about time limited games then no sub from me as what I liked was the fact there would be this ever expanding library of games that you could play with no huge time pressure, now it seems like most new things to be added will be limited to three months and with a 1 year old kid and another on the way gaming time is at a premium!!

700+ games is actually a solid base. Even with 2 AAA new game a month this service is a steal, so some one could easily just have a PS4 and PSNow subscribtion.,

Dammit. I just started God of War. Are the games unplayable after the expiry date, or is it like on PS Plus that you just can’t add them to the library anymore?

14.1

You lose access completely, unless you buy the game afterwards

Time for me to jump in I think. Ill be buying a 12 month sub this month.

I do not understand the hate comments. The service already have 700+ games to stream or download and PS started bringing in AAA High Quality games loke GOW etc (Albeit for a limited time) for just €10 a month: It is a steal. Gamers are being spoiled by XboxGamepass and are taking PSNow for granted as if it were a bad deal, only from the fact that Gamepass is just a better offering.

This service is clearly meant for people with low budget who could easily play 3-5 solid games a month for just €10.

So the only complaint people have is that the service is not as good as Gamepass, and are bashing PS for this fact. nonesense!

Ok reason people are complaining is that they see it just like plus where the amount of games per month has dropped and the new system is put temporary games for a few months and almost no games staying on said subscription service (one this month, zero last month) yes there are the 700 you can stream on to your ps4 and a large amount you can download but the problem is those complaining can see a repeat of ps plus where we went from 6 games to 2 games but with those two games only playable for 3 months until they appear on plus in 6 months. The ps now system was fine before the updated way they are working now it was not broken but they came up with a everyone loves newer games but we can’t let them keep them as people will stop plus so let’s make them timed.

Xbox xCloud, Google Stadia will soon be available worldwide. It’s time PSNow upgrades to a worldwide system available in all countries where PSStore is available.

Can’t say I’m thrilled about all these huge, grindy games being time limited. As people have pointed out, finishing Persona 5 alone before it leaves the service will be quite an ordeal.

C’mon Sony, enable PS Now in Croatia.

20

can i get final fantasy 15 for december ? i know that license stuff takes alot of time and its not easy to bring new game but i’ll be so happy if u tried contacting square enix .

21

Why is ps now still not available here? I don’t get it. Is it due to licensing?

Xbox game pass and all others have had no issues at all.

22

Yo

I’ve recently subscribed on the basis that there are 700 games available and new ones added each month. £37.76 by using a pre-paid card is exceptional value as far as I’m concerned. I’m going to play some of the those older PS3 titles. I’d like to see some more of the PS2 RPG’s with trophies. I’m very happy with PS Now it just works as it should for me.
