UPDATE
Unfortunately, we’ve noticed a number of issues with the new Buzz! HQ space since going live this morning that have meant some players have got stuck or frozen in the game. To fix this as quickly as we can, we’ve had to take Buzz! HQ down for the time being, but the dev team knows what the problem is and we’re looking forward to getting this space back up as soon as possible. We’ll keep you updated via the blog, Twitter and the Forums, so please bear with us and keep checking back. It’ll be awesome when it’s up and running!
Hi everyone, I’m really pleased to let you know that the new Buzz! HQ space in PS Home is now live!
This space lets you play multiplayer MyBuzz! quizzes by running around to stand on the correct answers. You can choose to play in English, French, German, Italian or Spanish, and there are lots of exclusive Buzz! PS Home items to be won too.
You can head straight there by selecting Buzz! HQ from the World Map and try it out.
Let me know what you think of it (and if you’ve won a game yet!) in the Comments below.
Happy buzzing!
Rob.

I’m aware that there’s a problem with the Buzz! HQ space at the moment and the Home team are currently investigating. Sorry for the delay, as I know a lot of you are looking forward to this!
I’ll let you know more when I get more details from the team.
Thanks,
Rob

I’ll not be able to try it until tonight, but from the trailers this looks like one of the most fun (and colourful!) Home spaces yet! More of the games and activities in Home Spaces should be geared around communal interactions with avatars rather than ‘removing’ you from the Home experience and putting you in a mini game that disconnects you from your avatar or the avatars of people around you.
Quite a lot of the activities in Home just turn your Avatar into a motionless statue with a little gamepad over their head that can’t interact with the avatars around them. This was something you promised wouldn’t happen with early builds of Home – for example on the early arcade machines you could still look around at the people around you and still talk/interact with them but in the current beta build you can’t – you lose all sense of being in Home, you’re just locked into a mini-game. Same with the Theatre – why is it the US version has the ability for Avatars to sit together and watch together but EU users are again taken out of the experience with a fix perspective of an empty room. Surely you could have the multi-screen lobby layout of EU Home combined with the US interactive screening rooms?

It’s great – the longest session I’ve spent in Home since it was released, and definitely the best space since you can actually get into a game – unlike Red Bull where I’ve not got into a single one yet!
This is my first post on the EU blog so I’d also like to say thankyou for bringing us our own blog and congratulations on a good first week of blogging and the thrashing of Microsoft and Nintendo at E3 that we all knew Sony was capable of!

This space is incredible, and finally we got something before the US Home space
I know this can be a real attraction for coming Home…i just hope you will begin to make live stage, maybe with a real showman…it would be great and addictive, something no one else have.

Home space is been removed as there are problems with it, home has been taken off, ted has posted info on the official playstation home forum
Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 2:38 pm by Rob Rutter
Hi DANTE234 and everyone,
To update you on the current situation, we went live with the space this morning, but we’ve noticed a number of issues that have meant some players have got stuck or frozen in the game.
To fix these problems as quickly as we can, we’ve unfortunately had to take PS Home offline, remove Buzz! HQ for the time being, and bring PS Home back up.
Whilst we went through a long period of testing for Buzz! HQ, with PS Home being in Beta there are sadly some things that we still can’t predict (especially for big new multiplayer quiz games such as this).
I’m very sorry that you can’t get to play Buzz! in PS Home today as we’d all been hoping, and we’re looking forward to getting this space back up as soon as possible.
I’ll be sure to keep you all updated with the new date, so please bear with us and keep checking back.
And most of all, thanks for all your great feedback and support for the Buzz! HQ space since we announced it last week. I’m sure it’ll be a really fun space when it’s up and running properly!
Thanks,
Rob

This space seems to be most brilliant Home space!
I love how game developers make Home more than just a place to hang out, but a “taste” of the specific games. Resistance has chimera-shooting, EA has their sports-games and Buzz has… well… buzzing! =D
Hi-Five Rob!

I was downloading the new space and…TACHANNNNNNN error D5027 and now i can´t get into home again, the same error over and over.
Why don´t you do one thing right sometime? I really don´t understand.
What kind of people are working at Sony? I really don´t understad.
The E3 was pathetic, no new firmware, no new XMB, no new in-game stuff, no new Home stuff.
What´s happen?
The new psp go is so terrible and ugly (with the super currency change 250$ = 250 Euros) are you serious Sony?
A lot of games… ok, but the only thing i´m interested to is better PS3 performance and services.
It´s gonna happen someday? I doubt.

It’s freezing here two
Great work! Home is getting a lot better. Cant wait for the Buzz space.
But I have 2 questions
- What price will you be asking for the pricture frames?
- What PlayStation Home Spaces can we expect this month? And are there more third party devs that will intergrade in HOME?
Thanks

I cannot connect to home. I haven’t used it before. The PS3 downloaded an update for it and then installed it. Trying to connect it says Network error – connection to server was lost – Code D5027

How about foto-sharing like on US Home… ?

Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 6:11 pm by milnerant
I managed to play around 6 rounds. It was excellent, I didn’t get the freezing fortunately. However the scoring system, I’m not sure if it works in terms of timing answers. For example when a few are in the top 5 and are placed in the same position, what warrents the 1st place position?
45
Posted on 4 June, 2009 at 6:22 pm by Torence
When we are going to get the photo-sharing?
Or also this feature, again, is going to be excluded from EU people?

It’s gone very quiet on the Buzz HQ update front since Thursday…maybe the problem’s bigger than they first thought…and now the EA Racing game’s gone down too. Boo
