Love the program!
One question though: I wonder if there are any plans to add metalcore music? I don’t really listen to radio, so a lot of the songs on VidZone is a no-go for me. Bands like All That Remains, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage, Bring me the Horizon, Shadows Fall etc. would be perfect!

Why do we even have vidzone? There was no demand for it – and I can see why, it’s pretty awful. I deleted it the day I downloaded it.

If you reread some of the comments on previous vidzone blog updates you’ll see that there IS a huge demand for it, (especially from the countries that didnt have it earlier on). And I think vidzone being downloaded over a million times by ps3 users also proves the demand for the service. It also must be pretty successful if the team are able to continuelly secure exclusives videoes from major artists.
So please take you negativity somewhere else.

I’m glad you’ve got some Christmas updates planned, I was on VidZone at the weekend at my sister’s house as she suggested some festive songs but there is no Christmas playlist yet
She suggested that we search for Christmas as most Christmas songs contain the word Christmas (funny that!), we were disappointed to see it only found about 3 songs but then I remembered it’s not a proper search and only searches in order so only found the songs that started with Christmas. In the end we just manually looked for a few songs instead.
VidZone is a great free application and thanks to brilliant support has had most of it’s minor niggles fixed, however by far the biggest remaining issue is the lack of a proper search function! It would be great if you could add an option to choose whether you want to run a ‘begins with’ search or a ‘contains’ search…

Will we ever have wide-screen support on all videos because i hate watching a video then the next one comes boxed-up all music channels videos are played in 16:9, even doe the image will be stretched and will lose its clarity it stills makes it better for viewing experience, even the vidzone adverts are boxed, please make vidzone a more enjoyable view experience because i love this application it also has a lot of potential and its the best service on the ps3. One more thing Sony needs to add this via firmware the same way the did with the bbc iplayer, this would give a vidzone a huge significant boost on users.

I must say that at first I didn’t really think I’d use VidZone. I just wanted it because other countries had it.
All it took was running it once and now I can see how wrong I was. I love it, and I boot it up everyday!
I would like to request “Untouched” from a band called “The Veronicas”, so I can dedicate it to that special someone I’ve been exchanging letters with and haven’t seen in months (come on Ben, you know you want to help my love life
)
Also, my buddy Meganom93 has quite a liking for “Paramore”, so if you could throw in a few songs by them, I’m sure he’d quite appreciate it.
