Now all you need to do is introduce a subscription plan so we can assess if all this hype is worth the charges…

Hi SpiderMike_X
You may have seen that SOE confirmed subscription as $14.99 per month for the US.
The subscription plan for Europe will mirror this, though we can’t confirm final prices at the moment.
Stick with the EU Blog for more info as it’s available.

Oh man that was sweet, didn’t notice The Flash at the beginning until I watched it a second time.
I want in the beta badly. PC or PS3 I don’t care!!!

this looks awesome an i really wanted it but i may have to pass it up,if you think about it,its gonna cost 40 quid for the game then monthly subscription, over time its gonna cost hundreds,i cant justify that.if it was a free download then you just pay for the months you wanna play,i would have definately been interested.

Are the graphics like that then?
This game with KillZone 2 graphics would be awesome

I don`t agree with subscription games (once I`ve bought a game I don`t want to have to justify paying to play it each month) but if the initial price reflects the fact that you can`t really play without subscribing then I might consider it. Minimum 3 months free would help but $14.99 monthly? Thats just shy of $180 for a year!!!

I was so hyped for this game but with having a subscription and having to pay full price for the actual game i will definatly not be purchaseing this game….. o well

I saw a comment over at N4G got me thinking: are these the evil counterparts of the heroes? (Superman looks angry, Batman looks… different)

Personally I don’t know if I wonna buy it yet. Putting a price every month means that at least we are gonna be getting additional content too from time to time right?

$15? I’d say they’d easily charge 9.99 EUR a month. No offence, but that’s way too pricey.

Going by several other MMO subscription prices, $14.99 a month likely means it will be £8.99 / 12.99€ for us.

No thanks.

C’mon Sony. MAG was free to play online. Having a subscription has totally put me off now.

it’s an mmo guys… always was going to be… u were kidding urselves if u thought it was going to be otherwise.
Unfortunately though I have my eye on FFXIV and I’m not going to have more than 1 MMO going at once. I’ve never gotten into one before but if what i hear closer to release for FFXIV displeases me this might just become an option. it does looks pretty sweet.

I can accept that there will be a monthly fee, but $15 per month is higher than I was thinking! Unfortunately it’s a bit high for me.
There might be discounts for 3/6/12 month subscriptions?

@smokeypsd
“it’s an mmo guys… always was going to be… u were kidding urselves if u thought it was going to be otherwise.”
It was obviously getting a subscription, but their asking a lot from console gamers,£4.99 a month and I would probably consider it.Anything higher and there’s no way i’d subscribe, especially as a console MMO will carry a huge risk in player numbers dwindling after the first month.Without being a 100% in a beta or some open trail,it’s difficult to commit despite loving the concept.

@smokeypsd, look at MMOs such as Guild Wars and Champions Online, one time payment only. I would’ve bought it straight away for a one time payment. They could’ve made the extra money from things such as selling items etc for real money. Like PlayStation Home does.

think the pricing is way off here. its gonna need to be about half what it is for me too consider even thinking about it!

Why are people complaining about the subscription? What did you expect from a MMO? I know it sucks to keep paying for something you already bought… but don’t you pay for the gas to keep your car running?

if that’s the teaser, i can’t wait to see what the full trailer is like.
from the looks of things something major is going down in the dcu.
batman, i assume that was batman, sporting a pretty different look, wonder woman swordfighting, though i doubt that’s a first for her, and superman looking about as angry as he’s ever been.
i can’t wait.
as for the debate about the sub, i for one have no problem paying a sub for a great mmo, they have to run servers that can host thousands of players at the same time and they should be provide new content for the game throughout it’s life.
what i’m not so keen on is a sub and microtransactions on top, if i’m paying a sub i don’t want to have to pay extra on top to not miss out on content.
if they restrict it to cosmetic stuff then it might not be so bad.

I don’t think a lot of ‘casual gamers’ are going to even consider a monthly subscription. There are a lot of good games out there that don’t have additional costs… I rather spend my time on those. Looks great though

I really like the look of this game and have signed upfor the beta, but the thing thats stopping me buying it is the subscription fee. It would be fine if it wasnt as much its just i cant afford to pay £40 for the game then £10 a month just to play it.

and i’ve been waiting so impatiantely for this game, but subscriptions for Plus, the same for this MMO game, what’s next?decided to check the prices and then make my mind about purchasing the game.i know MMOs need subscription, but there are financial matters, espesially in these times of international depression..

would love this game if it wasn’t for 2 things. 1: subscription yeah right don’t mind paying for the disc but not gonna subscribe.and 2:probably the most important thing it’s not MARVEL
