Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a great start into 2011 and a relaxing holiday season before that? Apologies for not posting the first update of the year two weeks ago but it was all a bit hectic round here! You can still see what was released on 5 January on the website if you like.
It feels like I’ve been away for months but some of you might have ventured on here on or after New Year’s Eve and found a few posts from us which went up as part of the SingStar team blog takeover. If you’ve missed them it’s certainly not too late to check them out and you might just find out a few things you never knew (or never dared to ask 
) about us.
In the update this week I can’t wait to get my hands on ‘Pump Up The Jam’, Pearl Jam’s ‘Even Flow’, Poison’s classic power ballad ‘Every Rose Has It’s Thorn’ and, although I cannot quite believe I am admitting this, ‘Reach’ by S Club 7. Bring it on!

This week i’m only getting 1 song: Taio Cruz ft Tinchy Stryder. Maybe i’ll pick up the dance add-ons of JLS and Metro Station.

i have yet to buy singstar so i have a question. if you purchase a guitar add on song, does that mean you cant sing to it? i.e. is it a guitar only song or a singing and a guitar song?

Hiya,
You will already have to own or purchase the singing only version of a song from the SingStore and the you can upgrade your song with dance or guitar parts if available.

Songs like the one from Technotronic are great for parties, it needs the dance add-on.
New songs from The Black Eyed Peas and Maroon 5 would be cool.
I’d like more latin songs too from artists like Shakira, Marc Anthony or Chayane.

So excited for S Club! It’s the number one request at our Singstar parties! (I’m ashamed to admit) Although here in Canada I don’t think Reach was released/made it big. But does this mean that we might see S Club Party and Bring It All Back?? Please!
(And to a lesser extent, Two In A Million/Don’t Stop Movin’/Natural/Never Had A Dream Come True?)

Nina, what is the procedure for transfer songs from one ps3 to another?
We have 2 machines now and songs split up between the two and we of course want all purchased songs on one machine..

I hope everything is goign well with you and the rest of the SingStar Team.
As you might know there are some people who say that the updates are bad and that they do not get the artists that they want. I was wondering if you (or possibly someone else at the SingStar team) could take the time out to tell and explain to the community how it is that songs gets selected to be released on the SingStore (For example if songs are selected from the current clubcharts or if they are selected by team members or if they are selected by someone at the pub or if the new songs are based on statistics from the previous months).
Because at it is right now it can be difficult (some might even say impossible) to understand why certain songs gets released on the SingStore and others do not. So a “this is how we do things” guide/tutorial/video would be a nice thing to have. The reason for this is that I then know how to influence the descision on what songs to put on the SingStore next – afterall I have to pay for the songs in the end

Nice update (to bad its not that much) but i have some questions for you if that is ok:
1. When do you think we can see a lot more Songs being updated with Guitar cause right now there isnt all that much to use the guitar for.
2. Do you think we can ever expect songs from: Michael Jackson, Madonna, Volumia (NL), Destine, Bruno Mars, Far East Movement, Ilse de Lange, Alex Gaudino.
3. That need inspiration thing when browsing through songs, can that be disabled?
4. An option to sort by newest songs would be handy and sort by gameplay (Guitar, Dance)
Thank you once again and please continue updating with as much songs as possible
(already bought over 250!).

I could only hope that we are getting better updates in 2011 than the last ones, sorry for that, it is just my opinion.
Both Updates this year are really disappointing for me.
Why are we getting only 11 Songs each time!?! And where are the big international and/or current hits?
The current hits you’re offering are most national hits from UK, which I have never heard of and according to wikipedia the Sum 41 and Sunrise Avenue Songs never charted. Why are we getting Songs that never charted???
I can only hope that the next update compensates the last ones. This time I am just getting S Club 7.
Btw: Poison and Technotronic are international Hits but they doens’t count for me, because they were already on a PS2 Disc, which I own for years.

Pretty bad update for me but (although I like me some rock) I MUST get S Club!
Although I love my rock & indie, I always hated Pearl Jam and that Poison song is just wet rubbish! But S Club makes up for everything, ha!
More Pulp please, Disco 2000 and Babies would be AMAZING.

Hi!
I was looking for Basshunter – “Boten Anna” from the store, but couldn’t find it anywhere. It should be there (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_downloadable_Swedish_songs_for_t he_SingStar_series)
It was a huge hit here in Finland a few years ago, I’d really appreciate if you could make it worldwide, or at least available here in Finland 
And since Finland is bilingual (Finnish and Swedish), I think a lot of people would appreciate if you’d also upgrade the Finnish-store with the other Swedish songs?

Hi,
This should be available in Finland. You may have to set your language to ‘all’, otherwise, with a Finnish account, you will only see Finnish and English language tracks.
Whilst on the song grid in the SingStore, press L2, and set Language to all. You should see all Swedish and other foreign language songs available, including Basshunter, then.

can we get the singstar avatars in the us and canada.
and has it been talked about at the singstar meetings to develop the ability to update on disc songs… i would buy so many more add ons… but cant because i have the song on disc
