Hi Chris, any news on the February content for PS+ ? :)

chrisboers 23 January, 2013 @ 11:05 am   2

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is actually a nice deal. Not my type of game, but should definitely be interesting to some folks.
#1: PS + info for feb should appear somewhere (early?) next week.

grumpysteve 23 January, 2013 @ 11:05 am   3

Also, any news on the Final Fantasy sale? That was supposed to start today also.

    Chris Howe 23 January, 2013 @ 11:21 am

The final fantasy sale as well as these additional deals for the January sale will go live after the store publish today

Awesome Sony! Such sweet Vita deals you managed for us. The care and support you show your handheld is simply amazing! You even managed to secure Resident Evil: Revalaitons from Capcpom on the Vita. The future of the Vita is bright indeed with all the love you keep showering over it. Bravo!

“What’s a Vita?” – Sony

Oh wait! nothing on Vita? WHAT A SURPRISE!

Does Battle Royale include PS3 and Vita versions?

zalwelgoedgaan 23 January, 2013 @ 11:08 am   7

PS+ discount included should make Max Payne 3 €18, right? I think I’ll get that one. Rockstar is pretty generous with their digital content, haha.

Paul_Morningstar 23 January, 2013 @ 11:08 am   8

Very nice prices.

Saving my cash for the Vita sale though.

Huono_peleis 23 January, 2013 @ 11:10 am   9

So RDR with Undead DLC is cheaper than without. :D

I think I will get that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale deal!

You really need to adjust prices. The RDR thing is the same situation as with Dead Island vs Dead Island GOTY. I won’t complain though.

Sheennshine7 23 January, 2013 @ 11:16 am   12

@Chris…

Could you please tell me to why Spec Ops The Line is showing up as €59.99 & is priced €24.99 above.. Many Thanks.

Wait why is PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale PSvita version not on sale aswell?!(yes I know you can get it with the ps3 version but maybe I just want the psvita version

    Chris Howe 23 January, 2013 @ 11:26 am

Because in negotiations with the studios we were able to secure the PS3 version but yes like you say you get the VITA version anyway when you buy the PS3 version

or not, you just linked to the wrong RDR content. Guess I won’t buy it after all.

    Chris Howe 23 January, 2013 @ 11:32 am

we will get the link fixed for this so it is pointing to the correct product, sorry for the confusion

Graffin_G 23 January, 2013 @ 11:20 am   15

That’s not a sale. The US PSN Store has far better deals…

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/01/21/playstation-plus-updates-75-off-many-acclaimed-titles-free-foosball/

Why can’t we have great offers like that???

Phantom_Blaze 23 January, 2013 @ 11:21 am   16

Can’t wait for the PS+ content! I hope you put LBP Karting in there!! :)

Aces73High 23 January, 2013 @ 11:21 am   17

Are the any new Vita games in today’s store update?

    Chris Howe 23 January, 2013 @ 11:28 am

Just checked in with Jawad and he mentioned Doodle God but his store post will be up in a little while

Any chance of a discount on unfinished swan similar to the one currently available on U.S store?

When does pinball arcade become part of the instant game collection?

    Chris Howe 23 January, 2013 @ 11:29 am

A discount on Unfinished Swan is being worked on but we do not have confirmed timings yet, likely to be March.

Pinball Arcade joins the IGC today when the store is updated

@Sheennshine7

it clearly says that that deal ended on the 16th.

rodrigo1UP 23 January, 2013 @ 11:24 am   20

Nothing for me this time, looking forward for a vita sale :-)

Bahamut_MW 23 January, 2013 @ 11:27 am   21

Any chance of a 13 for 13 sale like the US? ‘Cause that’s what a real is supposed to be like

Graffin_G 23 January, 2013 @ 11:30 am   22

Apologies for the double-post. The link got messed up. It should be…

blog.us.playstation.com/2013/01/21/playstation-plus-updates-75-off-many-acclaimed-titles-free-foosball/

Any chance of virtua tennis on vita dropping price anytime soon?

PIREDERAS 23 January, 2013 @ 11:38 am   24

I’m in for PS All Stars Battle Royale, FF VIII & IX, and maybe even Sports Champions 2.

A sale for PS VITA’s Gravity Rush DLC would be nice, too!!!

Lol and still no PSVita love. Nice.

Never, ever ever EVER use the words ‘coming soon’ since early December to say ‘something’ is coming for PSVita like USA got the PSVita Xmas deals with LittleBigPlanet for about 18 USD for PS+ members, Escape Plan 50% discount to 7.50 etc.

You’re managing expactations way waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay wrong. Even though something of a sale might come up with PSVita’s 1st years birthday in February or something that is a freaking 2 months later than end of November/early December.

Failure.

Aces73High 23 January, 2013 @ 11:41 am   26

I saw Virtua Tennis 4 (Vita) in GAME last week for £7.99. And that’s for a new copy, not pre-owned. Snapped it up right then and there!

TerrorOfDeath86 23 January, 2013 @ 11:42 am   27

(Not available in Kuwait/Qatar/Saudi Arabia/UAE) Awesome sale :( BTW Where’s September GOTM?

SPUD_1231 23 January, 2013 @ 11:42 am   28

Lads, ye do realise you can’t pick what you want in a sale? So much complaining over not getting what you want. Also Chris has had to repeat things so often.

A vita sale is on the way so stop complaining about the lack of vita titles, it is coming.

Also since it always seems to be brought up I’d suggest people create a US PSN account. That way you can get that sale too.

Anyway I’m quite happy with the sale. Got the Borderlands DLC pass and I was looking for GTA at a good price after previously missing it and I’ll take the discount on the Dark Souls DLC.

Thank you.

Oh and this:

Spot on. Those 13 deals for 2013, have Psychonauts for PS+ members for 2.50 USD (10 bucks normal price) Unfinished Swan for 3 dollars and a bit for PS+ members etc. And yes, they got no PSVita deals with this deals, but they had those at Xmas.

EU didn’t have ‘em for BOTH Xmas as well as this sale. PSVita, dead in the water I guess. The current just over 4 mln early adapting consumers aren’t as important as the 75 mln current PS3 owners/PSN shopping consumers I guess.

mistachicken 23 January, 2013 @ 11:44 am   30

I’m hoping and wishing Journey comes to ps+ , any hints?hmmm?
And quite a good sale , i think i might invest in sports champions.
Does anyone else hold off buying older titles in case ps+ get it? , i do it all the time!!

Aces73High 23 January, 2013 @ 11:44 am   31

Will be grabbing FF7 and FF Tactics (@ £3.99 a pop) when the store opens. Looking forward to Pinball Arcade too. Oh and I might just buy the Retro City Rampage. Loved the demo.

Hi Chris, I wrote to you in the previous January Sale update (comment #128). After getting Mafia II & DLC Bundle, the game doesn’t recognize any of the DLC, it’s like I haven’t got it at all. What’s more, when I go to in-game menu part “Downloadable Content” there’s the same bundle, but redirecting me to the PSS Store to buy it again!
It looks like there are two DLC Bundles, but the one compatible with the game is not showing normally in the PS Store, only by going from the in-game menus. Can you please pass this problem to the guys managing PS Store?

    Chris Howe 23 January, 2013 @ 12:12 pm

I have passed this issue onto the store team again but I would suggest that you contact customer services as well

Great deals! Ow wait, I live in Belgium, f**k me right?

willbillbill 23 January, 2013 @ 11:59 am   34

Got Playstation Allstars for ps3 and the digital version for Vita was included it doesn’t mention if that is the deal here (correct me if I’m wrong)

But I have to say it is the perfect Vita game. I’d recommend it to all Vita owners even if you don’t usually play fighting games.

On ps3 IMO the action is too chaotic but very easy to follow on the handhelds screen, go buy it folks!

Chocobo115 23 January, 2013 @ 12:00 pm   35

No no NO!
Nothing that interests me :/
When will the next sale come? (I’m pretty sure you already know what I’m waiting for by now)
Oh, and any chance we can get Xenogears US import?

Store has updated, nice deal on Max Payne 3.

Not sure how I missed the Spec Ops deal, my bad for not getting that.

foxsevent 23 January, 2013 @ 12:02 pm   37

The price drop for “Final Fantasy” is already implemented into the PS store but there is either a error or someone is being a [DELETED] cause they upped the original price at least for Poland.
Original price was 36PLN and with the discount it should be 18PLN but now it’s 39PLN original and 19PLN with discount.
I rally don’t mind the 1PLN difference but it is a [DELETED] move.

Sahlokniira 23 January, 2013 @ 12:03 pm   38

Yesterday i looked on play to see what Retail Vita Games where coming soon, This is ALL The games for the next 3 months they had to pre-order !

Persona 4 + Dead Or Alive 5

This is very worrying and the lack of support on new psn games not having a vita version is also not a good look,

Have sony already gave up on the Vita ?

Mantinijo 23 January, 2013 @ 12:11 pm   39

Hey, can we expect Crysis 2 in sale?

maximalcheetor 23 January, 2013 @ 12:15 pm   40

If you go into any physical store, you can’t pick and choose what games are reduced and if an American store reduces prices on one product but a European doesn’t that doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. Even stores with an online presence often have different prices between the two because of their overheads but Chris has said repeatedly that the US and EU stores are managed and operated separately and can’t run the same deals.

As for discounts and offers, don’t forget that we had FOUR Minis free over Christmas, we’re getting SIX PS Mobile games over the coming weeks and for those who don’t have PS+, they’ve done a one month free trial.

If offers / discounts come up for games you don’t want / already have, there are plenty of us that do want them. Yes, the FF offer has been done before but not everyone has been able to get them so it’s great to have that chance again.

Big thumbs up to SCEE. :)

Does the RDR Undead Nightmare Collection include the original RDR, or is it a completely different game?

windsorblue01 23 January, 2013 @ 12:20 pm   42

hey chris thanks for the pinball arcade just got it but i thought we only had it for vita i got the ps3 version as well looking forward to nfeb plus content

Demonized 23 January, 2013 @ 12:22 pm   43

Am I reading this right? Playstation Allstars Battle Royale not on sale until the 25th?

LittleBigSylph 23 January, 2013 @ 12:23 pm   44

Will the Walking Dead be on sale anytime soon?

TINTINTB303 23 January, 2013 @ 12:24 pm   45

@Chris

I was in GAME the other day and saw a top-up card for Harley Quinn’s Revenge for B:AC and it was priced at £6.49 which I thought was a reasonable price but I had a nagging feeling in the back of my head so did not buy it.

I got home, booted up the the PS Store and there it was; Harley Quinn’s Revenge for £7.99….

So my question to you is If I buy the £6.49 top-up card from GAME will that be the price I pay or will it be the full £7.99 to buy that piece of DLC?

It’s a simple question so all I ask for is a simple answer :-)

Cheers Chris

TinTin

maximalcheetor 23 January, 2013 @ 12:28 pm   46

@TinTin I’ve seen that a few times where retail top-up cards have had different prices to the PSN Store. Sometimes in-store prices have been cheaper, other times it has been more expensive but my guess is that the codes you get at the retail checkout are locked to the product and not PSN credit to the value of the item so they should work perfectly.

That’s why I saw some retailers reduce the price of the PS+ cards during the special offer.

@ tintinb303 it will download with the game voucher for 6.49 ,please tell me wrestlefest is up today

chrisboers 23 January, 2013 @ 12:30 pm   48

#40: It’s a standalone game in the same environment as RDR. It’s really good though!
Just watch out, there are two downloads, the Collection, which requires the original game, and “RDR Undead Nightmare”, which is standalone, but does not include the DLC packs “Legends and Killers” and “Liars and Cheats”.
Both are on offer for the same price.

The blogpost should actually include this, I guess..

Stavros-Bigboss 23 January, 2013 @ 12:34 pm   49

Like always games old or realy bad, maybe someday we at last get discounts for dead or alive 5 or assassin’s creed 3.

Nothing for me…. Was hoping for Galaga Legions DX as its never been discounted or a plus title!
Any chance of this some time soon?
