Good afternoon everyone. Headlining this week’s update, Dead Space 3 brings Isaac Clarke and merciless soldier John Carver on a journey across space to discover the source of the Necromorph outbreak. Crash-landed on the frozen planet of Tau Volantis, Isaac must comb the harsh environment for raw materials and scavenged parts.
Play together with a friend or alone as Isaac Clarke using the seamless new drop in, drop out co-op functionality. Each mode offers unique story elements and gameplay.
When he’s not planning his next heist or tracking criminals across time, Sly Cooper likes to hang out with his pals in Bentley’s arcade. As well as being a gadget guru and master hacker, trusty sidekick Bentley is also a whizz at designing videogames – and you can try your hand at three of his creations with Bentley’s Hackpack.

So this is the US update
http://www.ps3trophies.org/news/news-8967-This-Week-on-the-PSN-%5BThe-NTSC-Edition%5D.html
My question is, since they got the sale we had last week (Final Fantasy sale) why don’t we get the sale they had last week? And moreover, we don’t we get the namco sale?
Anyway, on to more pressing matters, can we please get Breath of Fire IV for PSX in Australia along with Chrono Trigger? Seriously..
And Castle Crashers DLC.. been waiting forever and The Behemoth said the problem was on your end.

No Ridge Racer Vita or Street Fighter X Tekken Vita plus discounts on the store. Can the guys who fixes the mistakes every week (I guess someone does this occasionally) fix those two please? Ta.

100 comments and still not a single reply? just wow
what can we expect as the replacement title? (if we get anything)
104
Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 4:24 pm by Golwar
@godheit
Fred already told us yesterday that Jawad and Chris aren’t around. And I can understand that it isn’t his biggest wish ever to reply to us in their place as he isn’t responsible nor can he deliver any real answers.
Guess we’ll have no other option than to wait for the replacement, while those responsible cowards hide and “work” on the next mess that they can cause.

@godheit:
Fred said on the other blog that Jawad and Chris won’t be in the office for few days so except no replies today. = (

Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 4:24 pm by solarwind12
I believe Jawad and Chris are ‘away’ for a few days, Fred mentioned yesterday, so unless Fred has anything to say theres not going to be any replies today.
Alien Breed crossbuy.. Yesterdays post by the dev said it IS a crossbuy title, but don’t blame me if it’s not.

@ Jawad:
Sorry for not dropping by sooner, I kind of got sidetracked and forgot about the update like an idiot.
Anyway, if I’m still in time, I have a different question today.
I purchased Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection last week, and I don’t mind the fact it’s not in my language – as I understand English – but I’m a little bit mad as I thought this game came with a DLC costume for Cecil in Dissidia 012. Can I t least purchase it, somehow?

Seriously this pricing insanity has to stop.
£59.99 for Dead Space 3?!
I just checked Dead Space 3 on Amazon. It is £39.99, £20 less than it is on the PS store. Can someone please explain to me how that can make any sense at all?!
The disc version costs more to make, costs more to ship and then the retailer takes a cut of the sale price.
The digital version has no physical production costs, no shipping costs and all of the money goes directly to Sony.
Why the £20 increase in price?!
Not only that, but in a month or so the physical version of Dead Space 3 will probably have dropped in price by at least £5, if not £10. However, the digital version will almost certainly have no such price cut. This is completely unjustifiable and I cannot believe that anybody but the most rich and idiotic of people would be stupid enough to purchase the digital version of the game over the physical one.
This annoys me so much because I would really much rather have all of my games digitally, I could really do without having dozens of discs in cases taking up room in my home but I also have to actually pay for other things besides games and paying £20 for a game is just ridiculous.

Hi Jawad,
Time for my weekly post about the price of the Black Ops 2 season pass. Can you poke Activision with a stick or something and inform them that UK Ps3 owners are expected to pay £7 more for the exact same content that the PC and 360 are getting for £34.99.
Hopefully you are aware of this blatant rip off and are working to fix it.
Cheers

YouTube Vita app for Denmark. When?
I understand complex sentence structures and technical terms. So don’t hold back with the explanation! I’m pretty sure I’ll get it.
Thank you.

Dead Space3.
Anyone know if it’s worth getting the Game exclusive ed, not sure of price as staff aren’t saying, but probably £44 ish.. for two suits and shotgun. but now seeing the dlc list am not sure if buying it for (prob) £38 ish, and getting the £11 dlc will be both cheaper (madness i know), and unlock equivelent or better equipment. the guy in Game was certain that unlocking the shotgun alone won’t happen till well into the games 1st playthrough. I just hope i don’t get drawn into the microtransactions like i did with ME3s MP, they ‘seem’ harmless, 50 pence each etc, but before long i was buying close on a tenners worth, looking (hoping) for that last upgrade or new class.. there very, very clever i think, i mean there saying it’s Not pay to win, But the way some people are for hunting trophies they’d spend a fortune.
btw. if you don’t know much about DS3s new elements then please don’t condemn me, yes i could just play core game. but the ‘added’ prices i’m thinking of paying really isn’t That much, probably just avarage.

Sony is a little cheater. We still have a “poster” of sleeping dogs in PSstore… That does not change anything because We still can’t downloaded this game from the German PSS… Then Why SONY advertises this title ??!!
Sony Put the poster in PsStore offer, i buy ps+ and sony tell “thanks for the cash, we cheat you ! Bye, Bye” Nice !!

Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 4:56 pm by supersmith2500
The lack of communication of PSN staff is disheartening me even more. And yet few PSVita games (Shiobindo 2, Katamari and SFxT) have no discounts, few errors on PS Store and not to mention PS Home Arcade is not mentioned on the blog when it’s on the Store and I think the blog is rushed and it happens most of the time now.
No offence but I’m starting to get real sick and tired of the staff not replying to any comments what so ever and I mean heck, even the game dev reply back quickly. Ok, calming down.

@ Mon-De-Hoops
Don’t forget the biggest issue with BLoPs2 season pass price.. the US are getting it for the original, advertised price, it’s only EU psn that is charging the added amount.. basically, imo. sen are making EU cod players subsidise Everyone else’s ps plus service. Well has anyone got a better explanation ?.

Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 5:02 pm by Roelliej
Heya Jawad,
Any chance of a Megaman 9 & 10 Combo on PS+ somewhere in the coming months? Or else a discount (RE4 discount is more than welcome as well)? Thanks
121
Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 5:18 pm by TINTINTB303
@MaceStation
Ask Golwar (if he is on).
Apparently he knows exactly why digital versions are much higher priced than retail copies.
I’m sure he’ll be more than happy to explain it to you.
He tried explaining it to me but I’m too thick to understand apparently.

Alien Breed Trilogy was showing up a £2.50 and I bought it and was charged just over £6! Is anyone else seeing the incorrect price marked down for this in the PS+ section? I already owned the original one and would have saved £1 buying the other 2 seperate!!
What can I do about this then guys?
123
Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 5:27 pm by MASPALOMAZ
wow, sometimes i feel ashamed to be german, even tho i live in spain now because the weather is better
its not just sony, its also the developers of the game as well as age restrictions, they surely do not keep sleeping dogs away from you because they love to see you rage. so getting mad about it does not fix it. so be a man and take life into your own hands. like create a uk psn account and buy plus there, its on sale currently. because otherwise you will have to complain every other month because some german game will always not be available in germany due to age reasons. unless of course you love to complain, then stay at it
124
Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 5:31 pm by johnnycide
Do Sony ever plan to answer why games purchased through psn are so expensive? Not all, of course, but an awful lot.
I understand that the rrp of a game may be an issue, but I’ve yet to walk into any shop and see a new release priced at over 45 quid. Usually £39.99 or so on day of release. Mass effect 2 was going on psn for £47.99 on psn when it could be picked up brand new for twenty! Seriously Sony, sort it out. It’s making you look silly when you’re offering stuff like ps+ which is excellent.

Hope theres some opinions about my DS3 questions when i check back later/tomorrow. am glad i still have ME3 too, as i hear there’ll be a custom Shepard suit, if you have a gamesave from it. just hope it isn’t useless like the Kingdoms of Amalur armour/weapon set was, or the overweight useless gun in ME3 from the Amalur demo. Got to feel bad for devs of Aliens Colonial Marines too.. i mean finally what looks like a good Aliens (since ps1) game, and it’s realesed 4 days after Dead Space. IF it had come out last week i’d of grabbed it, now it’ll probably be £30 or less by time i get around to it.

Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 5:38 pm by Skydancerx
@ CoolRichy008UK: The Game is not banned here! So dont talk BS. The Game is just Cut here. So Sony should release the CUT VERSION.
How long does Sony know the Game is in Plus? 4 Weeks? They have no alternative at all. Really Really bad….
For Plus we/you have to be 18. The Game is USK18, so no Age problems.
Sony does a bad job, thats all.

Who’s amazing idea was it to put sleeping Dogs on sale (even more for PS+) then give it to us for free next month! Words can’t describe how idiotic that is.

Try releasing demos of games BEFORE the game is out. Might actually SELL more copies, that magical word, SELL. Releasing a demo AFTER a game is out makes no sense. Sort yourselves out seriously.

I’ve downloaded F1 Allstars and it says it expires on 6th Feb 2014 and its only and hour long version. Anyone else got this problem??
132
Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 6:13 pm by Worfthedog
@122 Doozeman, the trilogy was showing at £2.95 for me earlier (the same price as each part was separately) it went through ok for me. Possibly a miss-price that they’ve now noticed.
133
Posted on 6 February, 2013 at 6:14 pm by hayzink
@ CoolRichy008UK
just because you cant drift in f1 all stars does not make it a bad game its really good fun.
the developers decided not to add a drift function because you don’t drift in f1, in fact a formula 1 car sliding would usually signal poor grip which would hinder performance.

And another unexplained non-release of Ratchet & Clank: Q Force for PS Vita.
December I bought the PS3 version, the CrosBuy option said PS Vita version comming Jan 2013.
End of Jan 2013, selection of the same option I did in Dec 2012, the one that clearly stated “Comming Jan 2013″ now said “Comming Feb 2013″.
No explanation, no announcement.
So, come late Feb 2013, will the CrossBuy option change to March 2013?
An explanation, or announcement would make this wait less frustrating.
Every Wednesday, I get my hopes up of the game I already paid for being released, and every week I am disappointed.

Aren’t you supposed to be an intelligent being?
I’m just sick and tired of that nonsense democracy remark. Especially when the only problem about a game isn’t that it would be illegal, but Sony’s failure to get the german version into the store.

Do wonder if I get a response anytime.. (Almost no reason to alter text, whit the lack of response)
Cant you guys play nice whis NIS and get the games and DLC here? or atleast let UK accounts gift those games to us in the not avavible countries?
Is the NIS not getting to release DLC in Scandinavia still secret?
Still not seeing Disgaea 3 on the Vita..
Or is it that the SCEE is stupid enough to demand native language descriptions on dlc when most countries in EU have a rather good grasp of english.
(Pretty sure its been close to confirmed that this is the issue)
Next point, when will the following PSP games be avavible on the
Store? The ones whit (VITA) is not vita compatible. Sideloading thru PS3 do not make a game vita compatible in this list.
Final Fantasy Crisis Core
Ghost in the Shell: Stand alone Complex
Invizimals
Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleap
PoPoLoCrois
Tales of Eternia
Tales of the World Radiant Mythology
Thrillville
Valkyria Chronicles 2 (Not Vita Compatible)
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth
Third:
Cross Region Gifting. WHEN?
