ORIGINAL POST: Okay, something a little bit different this week. It’s probably fair to say that sartorial elegance isn’t too high on the list of many videogame protagonists’ list of priorities. That said, having a distinct, stylish hero or heroine is generally key to a game’s success. Would Final Fantasy VII have had as much impact if Cloud and the gang were all dressed in shell suits? Would Bayonetta have stuck in the mind half as long if the titular witch had chosen to step out in jeans and a T-shirt? I’d argue not.
