New on PlayStation Store this week: MLB The Show 19, Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, Outward, more

Plus, Space Junkies and Xenon Racer also hit the shelves

A new week, a new snappy intro to write about the incredible PlayStation Store releases coming up. Build a baseball career in MLB The Show 19, get an unconventional history lesson in Assassin’s Creed III Remastered or duke it out in Space Junkies’ lethal orbital arenas.

There’s a lot going on in this week’s highlights, so don’t spend too much time up here. Check out our full list of highlights below.

1. MLB The Show 19

Join the major leagues and play alongside the best of the best in Sony San Diego Studio’s baseball simulator. Enjoy the updated player customisation, brand new game modes, online multiplayer and an RPG-style career mode.

2. Assassin’s Creed III Remastered

Ubisoft’s open-world adventure is back and looking better than ever with improved graphics and gameplay mechanics. Join the American revolution and use your lethal skills to take down those who threaten your liberty. Meet a few historical figures and explore chaotic city streets, blood-soaked battlefields and the American wilderness.

  • Available: Friday 29th March

3. Outward

Outward
Unlike many other games, Nine Dots Studios’ open-world RPG doesn’t put you in the shoes of a great mage or chosen hero. You’re nothing more than an ordinary citizen trying to survive hazardous environments, hostile creatures and infectious diseases. It’s perfect for those of you who are up for a challenge.

4. Space Junkies

Look around! Enemies will come at you from all angles in Ubisoft’s skill-based PS VR arcade shooter. Be bold and dual-wield two weapons, or swap one of them for a shield allowing you to block attacks from any direction as you battle it out in 1v1, 2v2, free-for-all and King Mode matches.

5. Xenon Racer

In the age of flying cars, people still can’t get enough of old school thrills in this arcade racer by 3DClouds. Drift through iconic cities including Tokyo and Dubai at breakneck speed in futuristic electric cars as you compete for championship glory.

Generation Zero released today also, why is that not on the list?

1.1

Cause it’s traaaash just like Left Alive.

1.2

So they should only give us information about games you wanna play? Well thats mature thinking right there

No. They should only give or inform us about FINISHED, play tested good games. In 2019, games like this and Left Alive doesn’t have to exist. If I could be the CEO of Sony and Playstation I would never let this happen. People have been fooled too many times.

I don’t think so, Tim …

2.1

Looks really fun, hope its true :)

Oh lookie, no Slay the Spire today. What a surprise. Meh.

Why isn’t Generation Zero listed at the top this week? It is an incredible open world European game. And SNK 40th Anniversary collection was released on the 22nd of march last week. What’s with that?

Is assassin’s creed liberation HD out on Friday or is it just assassin’s creed 3 out on Friday

4.1

Liberation comes with ac3 they cannot be bought separately

Generation Zero is ace, co-op, sneaky action. Massively atmospheric too! And I’ll likely pick up Assassin’s Creed 3 and just pay my bills with my overdraft again this month.

The walking dead episode 4???

Why does Sony hate Rocksmith so much?

StevenJamesHyde 26 March, 2019 @ 16:06
7.1

Rocksmith basically doesn’t work on the PS4 Slim, and drawing attention to that fact via a DLC announcement every week would be bad for business

7.2

It doesn’t?…

The slim doesn’t have an optical port to rout the sound through. And the sound lag, via HDMI is a pain. It can be remedied somewhat using a headset instead, but it is still noticeable in some cases. The game as such works, just not the gaming experience. And in case of rocksmith that is really all that matters. You can still use it unplugged as a learning tool, but then, why not just use tabs instead?

Assassin’s Creed III Remastered is included in the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey season pass, which is on sale at the moment. It’s even cheaper now to buy the season pass than buying the game from retailers.

8.1

Wow, I had missed that actually :) So with the Odyssey pass we get both 3 remastered and Liberation remastered, thats amazing

8.2

Do you need to have purchased the original game of Odyseey before it’ll let you buy the season pass? Just seeing if I can save a little, and don’t own Odyseey.

8.3

@Alex79uk , Im playing it now actually, doing some dlc mission and I love the game so much. Absolutely one of my favourite AC games. So my tip is to buy the full game :)

There was also the next character for Soulcalibur VI released today…

isn’t FF XV episode ardyn part of the season pass? cause it says i need to buy it.

nvm just read the season pass its not part of it that sucks

Dangerous Driving also now available to pre-order.

Speaking of pre-orders, hoping for Team Sonic Racing soon…

MLB the show 19 looks good played the previous one and i really liked it, i might buy it during some sort of sale..

12.1

Yes, looks great. And I like that those games finally got a decent pricing and actually come on the sales. A few years ago, at least in Sweden, the MLB games were insanely overpriced and never landed on a sale.

13

I can’t wait to play Legendary Eleven! It came out on Switch ages ago and I’ve been badgering the developer for months to see if it’s coming on PS4 and it finally is this week. Looks like a fun, old-school arcade, style footy game. Will make a nice change from PES or FIFA.

The Mortal Kombat beta starts on the 27th not the 28th according to the official MK/WB website. It launches in UK at 3pm, Europe at 4pm and USA on the 27th and in Asia on the 28th, can’t remember the exact time it launches in America and Asia it is on the website.

Gods Remastered? WHAAAT? Is this for real? My childhood is back! Never heard there was a remaster in the works. I am so happy to see it
