Last week, our very own ModNation Racers was officially nominated Best PS3 Game and Best Driving Game in the 2010 Video Game Awards. To celebrate our delight, we’re rewarding ModNation petrol heads with another week of Double XP!
Fire up your PS3 and put your pedal to the metal to take advantage of this one-week offer which is live as of… right now!
Next Monday, we’ll also be kicking off qualifying sessions for the ModNation Racers European Tournament that we recently announced on the Official ModNation Community Site. Racers have now been selected, so stay tuned over the coming weeks to see which country will be crowned European Champions.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out the Carnival Props Pack which features in this week’s store publish. A new group of 13 “Big Top” themed track parts to make new tracks… or just make amazing tracks even better!

Congratulations.:) Well deserved IMHO.
I am a little annoyed at myself for being so slow to buy MNR, if I had known it was this deep, engrossing and fun, I would have had it on day 1.
If my time permits, I would like to benefit from the Double XP week, as I have yet to venture online and start ranking up. However, there is another trivial driving game that is currently eating my 2 hours per night.:(

I really enjoyed the game when I rented it and was glad to see the loading times complained about originally were vastly reduced with updates (I timed the new loading times and they’re no worse than the majority of games). I do intend to buy it sometime. Some of the created Mod characters are very well done too.

Too little, too late as far as I’m concerned. Don’t get me wrong, I bought MNR on launch day and played it every day for 5 months (I wasn’t even that bothered about the pre-patch load times), however UFG seem to have shown little to no interest in Europe which is why I traded it in a few weeks ago.
@ moriarty … I wouldn’t get your hopes up for a weekly blog post. 95% of the time the devs can’t even be bothered to answer Europe related questions on the official forum.

sorry, i know this is not your fault.. this is a different post however, could you notify sony with how pissed off we are that the blue toad murder files christmas theme is being offered free to new adopters at the cheap price, however, early adopters who paid full price for the series and have completed them (no replay value) have to pay for this theme. that is a disgrace… how could anyone even think that that could be anyway remotely fair !
sort it out please, i brought up this point in the blog post about the theme and the fellow from relentless said he would sort it, it was never solved. i also mentioned it in the store update post yesterday (along with other people) and none of them were answered.
Anyway, sorry to you josh..

“Best Driving Game in the 2010 Video Game Awards”
This is what I don’t like about awards like that, it’s still 2010! GT5 has clearly taken the “best driving game” crown and put it well beyond the reach of everyone else now.
I’m not saying ModNation Racers is a *bad* game or anything like that, it’s actually very good and extremely fun to play, but it certainly isn’t the best “driving” game of 2010, not by a long shot.

It’s a nice game, but it’s way too difficult.
A casual mode was added, but there is nothing casual about this mode.
This game was a waste of my money
