I’ve been in Japan and just haven’t had any free time. Sorry about that – I did schedule a tweet for each offer from @PlayStationEU so hopefully that has been keeping people up to date.

Posted on 17 December, 2011 at 12:42 pm by jakster123x
Ah, forgot you were at the launch. Explains why there was no debate.
Damn lucky Japanese.
I still don’t really understand why the Japanese can get the Vita for Christmas but we can’t. Can anyone enlighten me? I think it’s to do with pretty much every single awesome game releasing next Feb but I’m not sure
Posted on 17 December, 2011 at 9:38 pm by James Gallagher
Sorry about the debate – there has just been so much to do out here, but it will be worth it when all the great interviews and posts get published.
I know it’s painful to wait for PS Vita but, if you look back at our previous hardware releases, but I spoke with Andy House this week and I agree with him that it is a big step forward for us to be releasing just two months as Japan and on the same day in both PAL and America.

@7 (DAVIE222)
You can watch it every week on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrkgJSd5txs&list=UU6yzV_xgKn8r77Fkc mZyMSg&index=1&feature=plcp
,or you can download it fom the PlayStation store since it seems you have a UK account.
To answer your question, maybe they won’t put the post up anymore, considering everyone can watch it on YouTube now, unlike when the first episodes came out.

I am unsure about the vita with its one account for one vita.
I see why they are doing it but I don’t like it. I can afford a vita as I have been saving for months but my brother can’t get one for a year or 2. I want my trophies for the Uncharted game so does he but he won’t get them due to just being one account per game and from what I am reading (but it is not been confirmed) the game is bound to one vita as well.
There should be 2 or 3 accounts per machine for family members.
I have Sony will take another look at this before the release next year as I will not buy it until the matter has been cleared up.

@Lucreto
here some more info i found on Vita it is said before you dispose off your vita or like sell it it says you have 2 deactivate it manually in the psvita itself
Don’t Get Rid Of Your PS Vita Without Deactivating Your PSN; It Could Spell Trouble
“You cannot deactivate your PS Vita system after you dispose of it. Because the number of systems that can be activated for a PlayStation®Network account is limited,
@James
“You cannot deactivate your PS Vita system after you dispose of it. Because the number of systems that can be activated for a PlayStation®Network account is limited,
does this mean if it breaks you have 2 rebuy all games. cause our accounts are limited and if you basicly have 2 broken VITA and can´t deactivate your account anymore you can´t use your games anymore you bought before that.

@James.. you are very lucky to be in Japan, and Tokyo to boot, i ‘wish i was there’, anyway have you had time to visit the Tokyo University of Science,?. If you get a chance check out ‘Saya’, the receptionist, truly remarkable, Her facial expressions are so lifelike, you can actually see the ‘human emotion’ in them, The whole fascination i feel by most all things japanese is really something else. They are making lifelike and robotic ones, where this may end up though?, I mean the benefits of having a robotic helper, just mindblowing possibilities, opposed to the inevitable ‘realistic’ robot, Android really, worker, fascinating but so scary, As you prob know the Japaneese mostly believe that most everything has it’s own spirit inside, add to that the tv/films where robots (for them) have Allways portrayed good, helping out man, as opposed to the mostly evil robots in western film, ah James i wish i could just speak to you, as the questions i have would take a lot of space, not just about the above but lots of stuff about Japan, Or the golden pheonix as i see it. Again, wish I was there.
Posted on 17 December, 2011 at 9:44 pm by James Gallagher
I haven’t been there but it sounds incredible. To be honest, this has been a work trip and a very busy one at that, so I’ve hardly had any time to explore. I’ve decided I am definitely coming back next summer purely for myself.

Sorry not spamming
but does anyone else keep the money next to there PS3 so that if it breaks they can go buy a new one the same day well I do.
Did have PS Vita on order but my 80GB console laser got used alot until it could not take my gaming needs any more so the money next to my PS3 went on the slim and a new laser and i gave my 80Gb to my bro and I got slim 160GB £200 what now has a 2.5TB HDD in it lol.
(The laser in PS3 only last about 4 years but I don`t car as im not cheap)
(and one other thing that I find funny is that I have two PS3 slim one the 160gb model with 2.5TB HDD use for gaming and the other 320GB for £200 as well is use for cross game chat lol 5 of my friends from college have done this as well.

I would’ve loved to have the Vita this Christmas but having it release just 2 months after Japan and on the same day as the US IS a big achievement and the launch lineup will be amazing.

I would like to see some more Rob Zombie music videos on VidZone. And Tupac. Plus W.A.S.P. but they are hardly “Mainstream” (W.A.S.P.) so I wouldn’t keep my hopes up.
Plus good work on the PS+ this month. I was starting to question why I subscribed in the first place. But once again Good Work. Sony is still number one in my eyes, I don’t regret subscribing anymore. Keep it up and have a Great Christmas!
P.S. Sam & Max is a blast! I’m buying the second series when I finish the first.

the vita was released in japan, why now feature here, maybe because of the fact you dont want to spoiler anything? while we are at it, i know its possible that some features will be added to the vita with the europe launch, how about “controll it with buttons”? please contact naughty dog, tell them “touchscreen is an option, not a must” the videos of the vita are great but there is a big useability issue with the touchscreen. i am not fond of using a 5″+ device (there is a bit vita around the screen) 299€+extra ( big extras in my case) with one hand to controll the menue, *laughs* even the sonyericsson xperia play lets me use it with the D-Pad.my concern is just, when the Touchscreen doesnt want to operate i would have the buttons, well actually i would prefer buttons over touch, thats EXACTLY why i consider a PSV over a smartphone, BUTTONS.

part2)what i also dont get ist the fact about those shortcuts to websites(menu items) on the PSV card menu (Playstation park [sucks by the way], PS website, PSN store). just consider this. the interweb is a place full of whiners like me right? but what i allways preach is “give people choice”. give us the choice for a clean ui. you killed the XMB on the PS3 and came with a touchscreen friendly kiddie button ui. hired samsung right? why i complain here? because the service centre never reacts, i dont see polls like “what do you want to see”. you see, at least i get the feeling i have told my opinion and didnt stood still, i acted *shrugs*. ah ..no start up chime anymore…sad. its like the walk of a kea in new zealand in winter against the wind….two steps in the right direction and the nasty wind pushes them back on step

for god sake christmas is a week away stop moaning about stuff that’ll never get fixed, ps3s use internet explorer 6 and internet explorer is made by microsoft,so if it wasnt we’d probably of got a new one ages ago most websites work on ps3 you just cant use every feature,shopping sites,video sites,n stuff like the blog and yahoo to find answers on whatever the subject is the so i reckon the most sites you were referring to is social networking sites such as facebook

Envy nah y would we b envious? Just cos they get a new handheld early n get releases on there PSN store years before us what’s there to moan about we should just b happy we get the vista at the same time as the USA right? wrong not a chance unless u integrate ur company as one whole n do world releases on all ur products hardware to software then u won’t get me buying any more of ur products n i’l stick with my Xbox cos the way deals/offers, content differ between regions on the ps3 is stupid n SCEE is the one always getting the short end of the stick while SCEA get higher content n better pre-motions, I also hope I’m not the only one who feals this way n also does the same as I n I hope u feel it in ur pockets Sony cos when that happens I bet that’s the only time u may actually think about ur customers!!

@demonspawn
Hi mate, you do indeed have the right to complain, afterall you’re a paying customer. And the customer is always right! … Well, most of the time anyway. I feel the same apart from the whole sticking with the Xbox crap. I mean come on, Microsoft is more “Money-Hungry” than Sony is by a damn sight my friend, and they’d just as soon sell you out as look at you. PS3 is the better deal without a doubt.
Anyways if you’re sticking with Xbox, what the hell you doing on a Playstation blog!? lol.

I wish Sony would undo the firmware change that now prevents the PS3 from being used effectively as a PSP game storage hub. I used that feature a lot when switching around which games I wanted to take with me on my PSP memory stick.

Posted on 18 December, 2011 at 7:51 pm by Carnivius_Prime
Just tried using Media Go to use my laptop as a PSP game storage hub even though I loathe using my laptop for almost anything. The program doesn’t even work. As soon as I run it it says it’s stopped working and asks me what I was doing when it happened. Useless. Thanks, Sony for making my otherwise lovely PSP a right pain in the butt to use now.

I’m on the ps blog cos I own a ps3 seriously y else would I be on here lol but I do also own a xbox which I do prefer to play over the ps3, I do agree xbox r just as money hungry as ps3 but they do manage to most of the time release a game in all regions at the same time n I like that n I also like cross chatting with people playing a different game to me, c how I c the consoles is that xbox is better for online gamers where as ps3 depending on if the games been ported from xbox is for single player games n watching blue rays that’s the reason I got one. To be honest if Sony knew that they were gonna be so crap to there european Market they should of kept there backwards compatibility compared to other regions our store realy does suck, O yeah on the subject Xbox original games work on the 360 to yay lol

Really? thats the best you can do? thats the pinnacle and extent of your literacy? at first glance I was actually under the illusion you had any real point to make. then you thought you had me with your revolutionary punch line: original Xbox games can be played on 360 yay lol. You’ll have to do alot better than that. PlayStation classics play on PS3 too. so i don’t know what your point is in that department. PS3 is a better deal you admited it yourself Micro$oft try to get more money off of you. lets not kid ourselves here Mr Spawn, online gaming is the same on both consoles, and behold PSN is free! XBL isn’t. You literally unknowingly validated my point. Good Day.

I wasnt having a pop at you dude. I just thought someone who has given up on Sony would have relinquished their position as a loyal PlayStation gamer and “did one” (Please excuse the expression). The fact you still find yourself blogging on a PlayStation website consolidates to me you haven’t ultimately turn your back on the console in question. And lets be honest here my friend, Micro$oft build cheaper consoles that are less reliable than PS3′s right. I bet youve gone through more Xboxs then you have PS3′s, Case & Point! dont try and debunk that overwhelming world wide statistic. 38% Xbox’s overheat only 12% PS3′s overheat! PS3 is technically more reliable than Xbox. Thats a technological FACT!

Ok I right first about the classic just cos ps1 one games work on the playstation do u think there r only classics on the ps1 there is plenty of classics I loved on the ps2 which can’t b played on the ps3 which some were released on xbox which will work in the 360, what my main point was realy is that Sony fail at multiple region releases where Microsoft doesn’t n that Microsoft have the same game content in all regions where as us in Europe get shafted while tho’s of us who do pay for plus “me included” r paying the same amount n gettin less content, late content repeating promotions n rubish promotions compared to other regions, I am sorry that I may of annoyed u but like u said u realy didn’t catch my point, where as i’l tell u more simply. Now I was mainly moaning about content differences n functionality so the xbox successes is that software is better where I will say hardware on the PS3 is better but then I would of hoped it would b considering the price I paid for it at that time. Like I stated b4 for a Gamer who want to play online if I was asked it would always tell them to get 360 but if they just wanna play offline get ps3 simple.

Posted on 21 December, 2011 at 7:56 am by Demonicspawn
I understand that u pay to play online on xbox but I will tell u the connections n communications are better on the games, which I think for team based games is very important. But what u pay for is that functions to work which they do. Last of all I havnt given up on the ps3 what I was getting at was unless Sony improve there service to Europe they will have lost me for future hardware purchases.
